I'm especially in love with the women's Sunday school..I also loved the music ministry..The members deliver welcome gifts to new attendees at their home..I didn't know / expect this...A delivery came to me today..I'm not proud of how I acted..When two people came to my door to bring me the gifts, I thought they were soliciters..So I didn't open the door, because I was in my nightgown...I called out through the door " No thank you"...The older man kindly explained who they were and left the gifts at the door..I thanked him, but didn't engage in conversation, because I was already in my nightgown, lol..For context, I am deathly afraid of strangers knocking at my door that I'm not expecting, because something very bad happened years ago...This is a wonderful church!! If the people who brought me the gifts read this, I apologize for being a little abrupt with them..

I have recently started attending Monument Baptist Church. The congregation is very friendly and welcoming. Pastor Mike McMahon is a wonderful Pastor. I highly recommend attending or visiting this church if you're in the area.

I also grew up in the church with several pastors before Mike McMahon came. In his early days he would ask the associate pastor to preach while he patrolled the back of the church, looking for youth who might be talking or writing notes. Doesn't seem like a good use of leadership or his time. I was recently told he had mentioned my brother in one of his sermons. My family and I were very active in this church, and my brother and I in youth activities. My brother went on to become a pastor with a doctorate in theology and lead some of the largest megachurches in the South before God called him home from pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. While I appreciate Mike's efforts to recognize Keith's commitment to the ministry and his desire to "suffer well" while battling stage 4 cancer, he just HAD to add that he never was "impressed" with Keith. Wow Mike. Did that little caveat make you feel bigger? There were several of us who weren't impressed with you either but we still supported your ministry without sharing our thoughts. But since you put it out there on YouTube about my brother... just know those things come full circle. Hope you get yourself out of the way one day.

Life changing, no non-sense biblically grounded doctrine, with no spin. This ministry saved my life. Pastor Mike is one of a kind. If you wish for experience, strength, and hope, this is the place for you. If you wish for frothy emotional appeal, this may not be what you are looking for. If you want the tools needed to live a life that is more pleasing to the Lord, theyI am a person who needs factual information, not dogmatic spin. I do not come with the goal of only making myself feel better. As a recovering alcoholic/prescription drug addict, I needed to be loved. This church provided that, even when I was unable to love myself. Pastor Mike showed me that the Lord loves even the most wayward of his flock. If you are looking for a real home, then Monument Baptist church is for you.Thank you Pastor Mike, staff, and congregationJason Graham
