“The store always looks clean and the deli is always great, so I stop from time to time on my way through town. A couple of days after Hurricane Beryl I stopped to grab lunch on my way through. I was so thankful they were open because many places still didn’t have electricity. The places that WERE open had horribly long lines.
The sweet lady behind the deli counter was so patient with everyone, making sure we were all taken care of and happy. The chicken spaghetti that I ordered was simply fantastic, packed full of flavor, creamy, and had a little bit of kick to it. I loved it. I have to give a shout out to their Dr Pepper from the soda machine as well because you can’t find Dr Pepper like that many places these days. I will stop every single time I pass through just to grab a Dr Pepper from the deli.
NOTE: The fountain soda machine is located behind the deli counter, so it’s only available when the deli is open.
This is a clean store with friendly employees and really great priced deli food that tastes delicious.
*The chicken pot pie is excellent as well! I haven’t had any of their desserts, but they had an apple cobbler that looked so good it made my mouth water. The fried chicken looked delicious, too!”

Zack keeps the original employees treats his customers accordingly regardless whom they are or what they do as long as they do not wrong his customers or his business .. thank u Zack.. we do miss Jay though. “I don't know if it was the owners I met, but the gentleman who was at the register was very friendly,and the Lady who handed him a steaming cup of atole de elote was just precious! We talked for a few minutes and then she handed me a steaming cup as well!! As my family and I were leaving she invited me to come back for more❤️!!! The store has reasonable prices, it was clean and orderly. The food wwe ordered from the little kitchen was very good too! I definitely recommend this gem of place to anyone who loves authentic Mexican American hospitality ?!!!”
“This place is great for our area. The man outside is harmless and will not rob you. People over react to people that don’t look or act like them.
If you came to shop… then do so. You are there for your business. He is there and that is his right to be just like you. Sometimes it’s hard for people to just be kind and mind your own business. I shop here a few times a week. He doesn’t bother me. He smiles and I smile back.

“Today went to the store , everything is in a good placed , when you come in the store theirs employees greeting you and when you walk out. But mostly everything is expensive and have coupons on sale, should have more thinks on sale.”

“I have been too this particular Dollar General several times a week in the last 3months. Very pleasant staff no matter what day or time of day. The only occasion I have encountered boxes just sitting in the isles, it looks as if they are in the process of unpacking a rather large delivery. As for crowded isles, excuse me but the store is a older store which is smaller than the newer ones. . I don't believe the staff should be criticized for the Corporate Office, not realizing the "Public" holds the staff accountable for trying to make more products fit in a "Old" product store.Good job Dayto workers you are appreciated.”

“Its Simmons,where else around here can you pay two prices for grocery items and yet be able to purchase a pack of 3/8" wooden dowels(for woodworking) at the same price they were in 1986?thats how long they've been on the same hook,with the same pricetag!!!”
