I was with Wells Fargo for close to 4 years but I have closed both of my accounts since my recent experience.
I had made an appointment to change my last name on my account because I got married. I hadn’t had the appointment to update my DL yet but they told me it was okay because they didn’t need it. I did provide my new, updated social security card because my name change is a little complicated. (My husband is Bulgarian and in their culture, they use feminine and masculine last names. So I add an “A” to the end of his last name, for my new last name.) I explained this very thoroughly and showed them my social so they could see that it’s valid. They told me they would be unable to add the “A” at the end because “it might flag my account.” I don’t understand why my LEGAL NAME would flag my account. It’s on my social and everything else. They said the only way they could change it would be to get a court document. They wouldn’t accept my marriage certificate “because my new name isn’t on it.” That doesn’t make sense because the marriage certificate is given to you the day you get married, before you’ve changed your last name. Anyways, they were the first ones to give me any issue and I don’t like to argue. I just finished up my appointment and went home to start changing banks. My new bank didn’t ask any questions about my last name and they have better benefits anyways.
I don’t know if this is a corporate issue or if it’s just this branch but it annoyed me.

I wanted to make change from a couple large bills and was told they can only make change for 1 $20 bill. I mentioned that they are a bank (thinking that's what banks do) but was told since I didn't have an account they could only do the one bill. It may be your policy but every person who walks thru the door has the potential to be a new customer. I know one bank I won't be doing any service with.

I have never felt more unappreciated before when trying to open up a new business account. Two of the bankers were just chatting it up the whole time while one black dude was doing all the work. I walked out after waiting 30 minutes.

I want to thank Daisy as well as Bill, the Branch Manager, for helping me navigate new technology effortlessly! I was up and running with my digital wallet quickly!

Dustin M. helped me open a joint checking and savings account at this location. He was very friendly, courteous, and professional. He seems to genuinely care about his customers. I appreciate the great customer service I received here today from him. I would recommend him for your banking needs. Thank you so much Dustin!

I wish I could leave 0 stars for this "branch". First off, the parking situation is horrid. We walked in and sat down in the lobby. We weren't acknowledged for a bit. There were 2 bankers and 1 teller. The banker Dustin, walked behind the teller line before coming to acknowledge my husband and I. He was rude and acted like we were bothering him. He asked if we had an appointment which he knew we didn't because apparently he was waiting for his appt to show up. Then he said it would take him about over an hour for him to finish with an appt that wasn't even there by the way. He proceeded to say "do you guys have something to do for an hour?" So he gave us a card to make an appt and we left to the nearest branch on Cedar Springs where they GLADLY assisted us. Thanks Tameka for your help!!

I’ve been with Wells Fargo all my life, but it is becoming more and more clear that all they care about is themselves. You should go to a friendlier bank like Frost Bank or Chase Bank if you still believe in Southern Hospitality. Either that or take you chances with Wells Fargo if you don’t mind giving your life savings to bankers who are itching to steal your identity and open up fake accounts in your name with no remorse or real penalties.

Just move to Frost bank. This place is a joke. There’s never any staff and they make the simplest things impossible and inconvenient. We had a very large check to deposit and they wouldn’t let us deposit it because there wasn’t a banker available and told us to schedule an appointment for next week…we went next door to Frost bank and deposited it immediately with no issues.

I've been using these guys for 10 years and now I'm on the threshold of leaving completely. Tried to open up a business account, after having been told by customer service to do it online and then given an error to come into the office. I came in and was told that I should set up an appointment and that they couldn't do it because there was only 30 minutes left in the day. So much run around so much hassle and no customer service. I feel like I should bank where I feel appreciated as a customer and not a number. If it takes 10 minutes online then why does it need to take an hour in person. I was literally the only one in there and I can see why.

Service does not exist at this branch. Find a new location. These people are the worst. I went it and asked specifically for EURO... not dollars... the teller calculated DOLLARS and ordered less EURO value than I requested. When I learned of her mistake when I got back to work, I called to have her to order the remainder of what I wanted, she insisted that I would have to return to bank and reorder in person. The fact that she's an teenage idiot teller trying to calculate foreign currency is beyond me. I asked for the call to be escalated to the manager. The manager was just as short and rude insisting that I must return. I was so angry I just hung up..... No accountability for their mistake. No apology.. just rude inconvenience... if I wasn't a 20 year customer I'd snatch all of my $2 out Wells Fargo... These people at this location are straight trash.
