There are closer tobacco stores to me, but I’ll drive a few extra miles for tobacco gallery. The storefront itself is nice warm and inviting. But the specialist tobacconist on site, Roman, is why Tobacco Gallery is my favorite. Dude is super knowledgeable about every cigar and pipe tobacco that they carry: from the flavor profile, to the brand’s history, and the different growing methods. Cigars can be kind of intimidating, but he doesn’t make you feel like an amateur for asking questions. They don’t have a cigar you want in stock? Roman will direct you to a similar one. Looking for a cheap, but acceptable cigar to smoke with friends over a card game? Or something complex for a special occasion? You get the idea. I took my father-in-law today and we both walked out with some great cigars that we shared over dinner tonight.Other than that the store has a lot of cool accoutrements, a nice bulk pipe tobacco section, and a good house roll.

They have one of the larger pipe inventories in town so I decided to buy two nording pipes from them last week.Upon trying to clean them for the first time the shank split on one of the pipes. I took the 1 week old, once smoked, broken pipe back to Tobacco Gallery and the young man called the owner and sent him pictures of my broken pipe.The owner refused to take the broken pipe for credit towards another or issue a return. Simply put if you choose to buy something here know that the owner will not stand behind the product he sells and if there is a problem you will be on your own. Buyer beware of this place and its owner.I am currently discussing the issue and appalling service I received at Tobacco Gallery with the folks at Nording. Hopefully they stand behind their product better than the vendors they allow to represent them.Edit: I contacted Nording and sent them pictures. They had their distributer send me a new pipe without asking a single question.

They have one of the better selections of pipes in Dallas. Unfortunately the owner will not stand behind his products. I purchased two Nordings from him last week. Upon attempting to clean them for the 1st time one of the shanks broke on one of them. The young man behind the counter called the owner and sent him pictures. The owner refused to credit or offer a return. I own 50 or 60 pipes and have only encountered a warranty issue once. That was at El fuego and they credited towards a new pipe without a second thought. Buyer be warned the selection here is good but if you have an issue they will absolutely not stand behind their offerings. .

I've now been here multiple times. Both guys I've dealt with were very knowledgeable, without making me feel bad for being a novice tobacco enthusiast. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. And they carry a wide array of products.

I recently took up smoking a pipe. I'm talking old-style tobacco pipes. I consulted Yelp to find a brick and mortar shop in Dallas and started calling around to cull out the head shops, cigarette outlets, and cigar shops that have stopped carrying pipe smoking supplies. (I wish Yelp were more helpful in this regard, but I may make my list public.) My call to this shop raised my hopes, and when I visited this morning I was not disappointed. They carry a nice selection of premium tobacco in tins. Peterson's/Dunhill and Orlik are the two that I remember. However, tobacco taxes make online shopping more economical, as Paul, the sales associate, even pointed out. In addition, though, they have nicely priced house blends in bulk - about 20 of them! I bought a half ounce each of four of these and can't wait to try them. I believe that you would be better off shopping here than online if you are looking for a nice new pipe (alas, no estate pipes here). They had a good selection of Petersons, Savinellis, and more. I got reverse sticker shock when I saw how affordable a beautiful Danish style freehand was. Because I had just received some pipes for my birthday I limited myself to buying my very first Missouri Meerschaum corncob. Being more of a cigar guy, Paul's knowledge of pipes was limited, but he was extremely helpful, and I had a great experience. I look forward to going back and talking to the owner sometime.

This place has a super helpful and friendly staff. There is a wide selection of cigars kept in the humidor as well as loose tobacco. Great place.
