The Magdalen House and its program saved my life. As a volunteer, I get to repay what was freely given to me. The community and those who are apart of this community are a blessing. The gift that keeps on giving.

This place is the most caring and loving place anyone could go too. You walk in those doors and walk out a different person. It's nothing but love here. I LOVED IT HERE!!!!

I just returned home after the most phenomenal stay at Maggie’s house. I learned more about my alcoholism in two weeks than I learned in 2 30 day treatment centers that cost me over 40k! And Maggie’s house was free! The staff, volunteers and donors provided the ladies of the house with undevoted attention, guidance and love and I will continue to give back to Maggie’s as a sincere gratitude for saving my life.

The Magdalen House saved my life and helped me get on path to recovery, provided amazing fellowship and meetings, and is my safe haven, they gave me a toolkit to work my recovery program and because of them I never have to do this Journey alone. I even relocated myself so that I can stay close to the house, ladies, and meetings. I'm forever grateful for them and would highly recommend any woman with a desire and willingness to stop drinking to call them immediately. Thank you Maggie's place♥️

There truly are no words to describe Maggie’s. I was desperate. I felt hopeless. I didn’t want to live. I tried everything to stop drinking. I have been to 30 day in patient rehabilitation programs, IOP’s, AA meetings, church,…etc. January 12, 2021, I flew to Dallas from Houston. I walked through the doors of Maggie’s, for what I thought would be 2 weeks of another failed attempt. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Instead, I was greeted with loving and open arms of women who showered me with love. Women who knew of my pain. I stayed in Dallas for 18 months. I stuck close to Maggie’s. I found God. I owe my life to Maggie’s. Maggie’s is magical. God truly lives there. Today, I can look at myself in the mirror. I just moved back home to be with my children and family again. I am happy, joyous and free. I owe everything to The Magdalen House. Thank you to the entire staff, my sponsor and every woman that has walked through those doors and held me during my journey to freedom. I love each and every one of you with all my heart❤️!

I would not be alive today without The Magdalen House. I was drinking myself to death (literally) and could not stop drinking and did not know why. The Magdalen House showed me how to really live and enjoy my life without alcohol. The all women staff and atmosphere of love, understanding and compassion was the catalyst for my recovery. Thank you Maggie's for giving me my life back!

AMAZING PLACE...I was a HOPELESS ALCOHOLIC Woman when I arrived at Maggie's house. They took me in with love, Grace, respect..and so much more. It's literally a magical place. I was taught and given tools to live a sober & happy life,...tools that will carry me through the rest of my life. I've been to MANY treatment centers & none of them worked...Maggie's House DID...If you know ANY WOMAN WHO IS STRUGGLING...MAGDALEN'S HOUSE will change their life TRUST ME...it changed mine forever for the better. I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL for this Amazing place. Sincerely, Emily W.

I think we all try to look for people who call themselves Christians in hope that they will be nonjudgmental and loving and offer some type of guidance. It’s clear these women have no experience with alcoholism, or people who WANT better for themselves but know how to do obtain better. I was denied services and told “you don’t want to stop drinking” because I told them “to say I will never have another drink in the future is unrealistic, I want to take it day by day”.I called them filled with optimism and hope and hung up feeling judged, turned away, and lost because I don’t fit into the category of “messy alcoholic who has not control over her own life”.Please look else where

Maggie’s House is a place of HOPE. A safe place to cleanse your mind , your thoughts and your soul. There is no one here better than you or worse than you . We are ALL struggling to find our way in life. But it is a place to “stop time “ for a bit for YOU to choose the path you want to walk when you leave . No one can do it for you. But you also are not alone. Give yourself and Maggie’s house a chance to clean and clear your mind so YOU can be the best you that your heart desires. I now have 8 years sober and life outside those doors still have tough times BUT the good times are Soooo AWESOME and if you really try and open up your mind you will be AMAZED how Awesome you truly are and how much you LOVE YOURSELF to start again and be the You that you know you can be!!! Take this FREE gift Maggie’s house gives you and RUN WITH IT!! …. Donna Kohler

Before i came to Maggie’s house... i was In a dark position in my life. I hated myself.. others and just didn’t care for anything. I was Literally killing myself... drinking && smoking. I didn’t have a reason to live anymore. I gave Up on myself and my whole life. It took me losing everything and everybody to realize i was The problem. I needed Help. I didnt Know how to get help. I always Fixed my own problems. But ended up making things worse. My friend Bridgette P. Told me about Maggie’s house. I walked into that house not knowing anybody. Scared and cried so hard when my mom dropped me off. But i knew Once i entered That office i was In a place i needed To be. The staff here helped me find who i was before again. I fell On my knees asking for Gods help. && i most definitely got it. I’m a changed person because i needed To find my reason to live again. I have met some amazing women here and i highly recommend this place to any women who needs help. This place gave me my life back! I love This place! ❤️

Was first introduced to their meetings because I was court ordered years ago. I wasnt interested in recovery, but it was my favorite meeting in Dallas because of the fellowship. This year my situation finally became unbearable. I checked in on my own terms for the full 2 weeks. God truly lives in that house. The amount of healing and love I received is incomprehensible. Today I am in their Next Step program, which I cant speak enough good things about. Maggies saved my life and prepared me to help others.

A wonderful place for anyone whose life has been affected by alcoholism. Whether you are an alcoholic or your loved one is, whether alcoholism is currently a problem is has been in the past, The Magdalen House is a place where you can find peace, serenity, usefulness and a new way of life. Dallas would not be the same without it.

I’ve known The Magdalen House since it began. There’s no place better For Free to help women trying to get sober and stay sober. The program of AA which is known for its success is the basic teaching that is offered along with understanding and friendship.
