I was standing there using a table in the area and this old bat comes out. I said good morning kindly. No good morning, no nothing, just starts piling products on the table I was using with haste and irritation. News flash, a simple “excuse me” would make all the difference. Screw you.

Vacationing in Dallas with my family. We had lunch at the farmers market on memorial day and browsed the shops before leaving. Came across Texas Goods Company and found a hat that I really liked even though it was a bit pricey. Had questions about a few other things and was prepared to purchase. I took the items to an empty counter and waited for a few minutes. I looked around the store for someone and saw two other people who appeared to be customers as well. One of them was an older woman on the phone who absolutely saw me and the confused look on my face. I went back to the counter and waited several more minutes before she walked behind the counter, moved a few things around and continued her phone conversation while I was standing in front of the register with items in my hand!!! As she continues to completely ignore me I decide to put the items back and exit the store. She stayed on the phone with no reaction to someone putting stuff back and leaving. Was I supposed to put on a smock and ring myself up?? Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and I'm pretty old!! I realize my bad experience and long winded negative review means nothing to this place but I had to put it out there.

Overpriced postcards and poor selection. You can find them half the price ($1) at a shop on the corner across the street. Lady behind the counter does not look up until you come to the till and even then does not greet you. Hard pass if you are at the market.

Found this to be a cute shop however upon checking out and paying I was told they do not “accept cash”. I don’t think I have ever shopped anywhere where cash wasn’t accepted. I had the money to use on a card but that wasn’t the point to using cash I had what I wanted on cash to use for my purchase. Needless to say I didn’t purchase the item and won’t ever go into this store again. My cash is just as good as my credit card is!

We were in today for the first time! A great addition to Lakewood that is warm, welcoming, delightful and quint-essential Texan in merchandising and in heart! Thank you John for making us feel at home and we will be back!!!

We loved this store! Lots of great gifts with a Texas theme. The couple who owns the store is wonderful and it’s a great addition to the shopping center!

Nice little gift shop in the farmers market. We bought a cow skin coaster the shape of Texas, great souvenir of our trip.
