I have never dealt with a more dishonest, money grubbing, unscrupulous "repair" garage EVER. My car was running when I brought it in but this make and model are notorious for having issues with inconsistencies in starting due to a theft system light coming on. Even if you aren't a mechanic you can easily look up the issue online. I also had a malfunctioning tail light which I replaced the bulbs in. When I took it to O'Rileys, they told me it was just that the connection was a bit corroded and it needed to be cleaned. So I dropped the car off and explicitly told them not to do ANYTHING until the discussed it with me. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning when they were open & when I still hadn't heard anything from them I called Sunday morning the owner told me that they weren't open on Sunday's but that it was a short in the manifold. He told me he would have his son callback on Monday and again I reiterated not to do anything until I authorized it. When I hadn't heard anything by 9:30 Monday morning I went up with the intention of picking up the car because I already knew there was a problem because the manifold is less than a year old and if there truly was a short, it would be covered under my warranty. Upon arriving, I told the very rude gentleman who came out, who ended up being the son, that I wanted to pick up my car. He proceeded to tell me they were working on it. I asked him what they had done and how much it was going to cost. He told me they fixed the taillight but when he showed me, they corrected the problem on one side and now the other side was having the problem. I told him at that point not to do anything else and tell me how much owed them. He kept avoiding giving me a price he told me it would be an hour and a half before I can get my car back even though there were no other cars being worked on. I told him I wanted it back now so he said he could have it ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later he told me it was going to be $120 and that they haven't fixed anything. I took it to my previous mechanic who diagnosed, fixed the initial problem and fixed the problems with the tail lights that Alex Auto created for the same amount. Avoid this Alex Auto at all costs!!! Hope this helps someone!

This was the worst experience I have every had at any auto repair place. My family and I had just exited 35 when I heard a very loud sound, pulled over and noticed it was a flat tire. I pulled up into this shop just to get to some place safe and immediately received stares. The man, whom I suppose is the owner, said "what do you want?" Not how I'm doing? How can I help? I understand that it's an auto repair shop, but I was already shaken up by the tire, some empathy would be nice! He then proceeded with all I can do is put on the spare do you have one?! He proceeded to move my car, leaving an empty coke can inside, and says he was going to charge me $20 to put on my spare because it was a holiday. When I asked him why the charge, he said, "well it's a holiday, no one is open. So I charge what I charge, take it and not pay if you want. But you know it's a holiday..." What happened to common courtesy and good businessmen? I politely told him, "You know that's not good customer service and terrible work ethic to say that. I'm only going to pay because I'm an honest person. God Bless you." People should really be more considerate of others, you never know whom you're speaking with. I myself am a Licensing Inspector with the State of Texas and pride myself on treating everyone fairly!!!! Guess who's gettin a report filed! Don't go to this place if you want kind service. Austin will hear about this treatment come Monday morning as well.

You can't throw a rock and not hit a repair station in Downtown Dallas but to find one with a genuinely nice person like Alex is tough! If I didn't live so far away he'd be my new mechanic. It was after hours and my family and I were stuck having broke down in his parking lot and he came out not once but two times to help us. I highly recommend Alex and his business as it's rare to find a nice guy that knows his stuff. We were back on our way home after he helped us. Thank you Alex!
