I really wanted to like these guys, particularly as I appreciated their slogan, but this move was a genuine nightmare. We got them through a moving brokering company (Savannah Van Lines - pretty bad experience also) and it was a disaster from the beginning. They did not contact us about the move until the day of the move. They get here on the last day that was on the contract and at 8PM at night, which is tough for families with a young baby. When he gets here, he was not "unfriendly" per se, but definitely not great with communication - which would have been helpful as this was our first time using movers. He immediately goes through the paperwork, does a walk through and then gives us a quote that was around $500-600 more expensive than what the original estimate was. When we expressed concern, he said that the estimates are generally wrong and we will know the final price once the truck was weighed, which is fine. When we looked through the paperwork, we saw a charge for $114 or so for "shrink wrapping." He didn't even tell us about it, just reassured us that we would appreciate it when we saw it. He then brings out his helpers, who turn out to be 3 children. Not professional movers. They must've been 15 or 16 but they were definitely strong looking kids so I thought, OK. Maybe this is just a family business. So the rest of the packing process was pretty uneventful. He was supposed to send us an email with the actual invoice the next day and we did not get it. When I called him three days later, he said that he sent it to my wife (we scoured her inbox, trash, spam, everything - no email) but would resend it to me that day. When I received it, WOW! An additional $1000 above the estimated price! We were flabbergasted but he insisted that our weight was that high. We had no choice but to pay...I mean, they had all of our stuff. Anyway, this is when things got bad. I guess he hired another company to drive our belongings out (I was getting confused with all the different companies at this point). The actual driver called us one day before the designated drop off day and said that he was there. We were not happy about this because it was 1 day earlier than what was stipulated on our contracts for the "earliest move-in-date," and we hadn't even flown out there yet! When my wife called Righteous, he told her that this was the date we had said and because we were making his shipments late, we'd have to pay an additional $800 dollars. When she disputed this, he starting arguing with her. He was very rude to the point where she got so frustrated that she started crying. When I heard, I was not happy about that and told him to deal with me from that point on. He told me that he found a storage facility and was just going to drop off our stuff there and we'd have to pay for it. Because I did not know anything about this facility and I honestly did not trust him very much at this point, I told him I would find a storage facility myself. I didn't even care about the cost, I just wanted this entire debacle to end. He then gets very upset and asks "why are you making life difficult for me?" and gets into a shouting match with me. He calls my wife disrespectful, berates us for our house not closing on time (as if I had any say in that!), and blames us for making him lose money by putting up his driver for the night. At the end of it, he says "I'm done with you" and actually hangs up on me. Which was too bad because I didn't even have the chance to tell him that he was breaching the details of our contract. Thankfully, the driver (who was part of another company) agreed with us that his dealings with Righteous were shady and he offered to drop our stuff off at a storage facility that we both agreed to. He was a real stand-up guy. He also told us that his company would no longer be dealing with Righteous because of their unprofessional behavior. Long story short, we are very glad to be over this whole thing now. This was probably the worst move tha

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin, this company isn't even allowed to operate (research as of 5/28/16; safer.fmcsa.dot.gov). They delayed their arrivals several times! The jacked up the price and changed the contract when they arrive. Check Google... There are some bad bad bad reviews and a lot of sketchy stuff going on! Supposedly, they store your stuff in a warehouse that may or may not be warehouse that may or may not be managed by their family members. Initial quote: $1400+/-... Their quote before we kicked them out: $2500-$3000... FOR A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT!!??

My experience with Righteous Vanlines Moving company ended up okay. At first, I became a bit skeptical because the prices changed on me during pick up. We were on the third floor and had elevators. No one really told us that extra stairs and elevators would be extra charges but it was outlined in the paperwork so we were okay with that because after extra research on moving companies, it was not unusual that moving companies did charge extra fees for these services. I just wish that we could have been aware upfront. As far as the moving team...we were satisfied with their customer service both in how they handled us as customers and how they packed our items. Once we received our things in Spencer, WI, we did run across an extra fee because we were on the second floor but this fee was waived and we all left off happy. I would recommend this company but I would also advise others to ask questions regarding stair and elevator fees (if applicable) upfront so that there will not be any surprises. As for the service of this company, we were very satisfied! Good luck!

This is probably the worst moving company I have ever hired. Please do not hire them. They broke more then half of our belongings and they took 1 month to have our things moved from Texas to Utah. Please hire another company. They have the worst customer service ever and they are really rude. They also are really bad in getting back to you. They have been really disrespectful to both my husband and I. They always had us in the dark and they still are because we filed a claim and it has been over a year and they still can't reimburse us some of the money we paid.

RUN! RUN NOW! DO NOT LOOK BACK! It will be worth you paying a couple hundred more for a reputable and accredited company to move your items. Several things went wrong with our move.

If you are reading this please run while you have the chance!! Do not waste your time and money with these scammers! I can not stress that statement enough. I'm so grateful that the nightmare that is Righteous Van Lines is over. There is nothing righteous about them at all. It is a family owned business that are a family of phonies! They will call you for weeks trying to get your business and then take you to the cleaners. They even lied and said they were members of the BBB and they are NOT! (I called BBB myself) I was moving from OK to TX. The rep Brandon told me that the movers will pick my things up, wrap them in the moving blankets or plastic, disassemble any furniture, drive them to TX, unload and reassemble the furniture. Please read the fine print once you have received the quote! They have hidden charges and procedures that they do not tell you about. So here's my experience: I paid my deposit, and agreed to pay the first half of the remainder at pick up and the other half at delivery, and set up a date and time (on a Thursday) for my pick up. Brandon assured me the movers would be at my apartment in the afternoon. After several calls the day of move with Donna (I never heard from Brandon again), the movers arrived at 11pm!! They claimed the person they had before me had more things than anticipated... Which brings me to the fact that I was never told that my things would share a truck with someone else's things. This had me baffled due to the possibility of unsanitary issues (dirt, roaches, bed bugs, ect.) that my things could have been exposed to. They also didn't have enough room on the truck and had to strap my dining room table and box spring to the back of the truck. One of the drivers wrote up a statement saying they would not be liable if the table broke. Ridiculous!! Its not my fault they tried to double load the truck (which was an Enterprise truck). Now they ask for the payment and I offer my card and they said that they had to have a money order or cash. I spoke with the owner, Alex ( who refused to give his last name), who was very rude and said that to insure that I receive my things Saturday I had to pay for the pick up and delivery because they could not be sure if the funds would go through. This was the same card I used to pay with my deposit which cleared the same day. (The rep Brandon told me that I could pay for everything with a card) Alex even implied that since I was educated that I felt I was entitled to everything. Just rude!! Ok, so the next incident was at the day of delivery, the movers said they would have to charge me $65 per 10 steps to deliver my things on the third floor. I told them previously that I was on the third floor and they mentioned nothing about this. Plus they wanted it in cash! I was livid to say the least that even after I paid for the delivery like they wanted they were still trying to charge me for the stairs! They broke the leg on my TV stand and said I could file a claim but they would only pay $0.60 per pound of the item damaged. They are just the definition of awful, unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude. Please go elsewhere for you moving company.

Moving is always a stressful experience, whether across the street or state. Finding people to help as well as trucks is always a hassle. When I decided to move across the country from Dallas to Upstate New York, I decided to hire a company to move my belongings for me to alleviate some of the stress. After contacting several companies and having estimates done, I chose Righteous Van Lines, who had the lowest estimate. Never having used a moving company before I have no previous experiences to compare to. However if I move again the bar is set high for the next moving company. All of my belongings were packed with care and arrived at my new home, on time, and at no extra cost than the estimate. The crew was efficient and respecting of my belongings. I highly recommend for anyone considering hiring a company to move.

Love the whole process of my move from start to finish with Righteous Van Lines. Price was the best one I was quoted out of about 10 different movers. The gentlemen who did my move were kind, gracious and took the time and care of moving everything I had boxed up and then some....Made me feel at ease and even went back to get my gas grill that was forgot on the truck. I would highly recommend Righteous Van Lines to move your items.

I've moved over 10 times in my life, and this is the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Was told I would receive my stuff within seven to ten days, and it took over a month. Continuously lied to over the phone, and unable to reach this mysterious “Alex†person, who evidently owns the company, but refuses to interact with his customers. Was told "he doesn't talk to customers, he pays us to talk to them." Tried to file an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but was told they're not an accredited company, despite being told they were by a staff members, and their automated message. Good luck dealing with “Donna,†and “Roy,†and the rest of their horrible, lying staff if you choose to hire them. My advice, however, is to find another company. There's plenty to choose from.

Even one star is gracious! Worst moving experience ever. We moved in March 2014 from TX to UT and we are still fighting to get our money back.

was disgusted with this company. It took a month for them to deliver our stuff and a ton of the boxes were crushed, quite a few things broken, mattresses were all wet. They pretty much screwed us over the whole time we worked with them. Pay them a ton of money for them to screw everything up. When we would call them they would not help us out. They left us to put all our stuff together that they took apart. A horrid company to work with. The moving crew did great but that is because they were not part of the company just hires by them.

I will not advise anyone to use Righteous Van Lines for moving. Not only are they unprofessional, the owner actually called and insulted/yelled at me on the phone. They don't have an automated tracking system and customer is on the dark all the time. My two old month baby's swing was broken and my expensive mattress was wet. I regret using Righteous Van Lines and will not recommend ANYONE to use them for moving.

I went with this company despise the bad reviews I read. I was very skeptical but what made me go along with them was that they were a family owned company and their prices were very competitive. The pickup went great despise my skepticism but I did have issues with their delivery process. I had to wait a little longer than what I thought but overall the move went well and I would recommend this company to anyone.
