Horrible valet service upon car pick up. Charge $25 and they don’t even let you know your car has arrived or even open the door for the ladies. Hotel bar is “OK”…played lame folk/elevator music on a Friday night. And the lousy music was even loud!!!!. Definitely not as nice as the Omni downtown.

- The buttons for the lights don't work.
- The buttons for the drapes don't work.
- The thermostat is set to 74*F. However, the AZ won't shut off at all and it's between 64-68*F all night.
The place could be awesome. But it's showing its age. I've been to the front desk twice. Nothing is done about anything.

For the price, this is a fantastic hotel. Super clean and comfortable. Lots to do. Great location. Great staff. Alex in the bars and Lola in the coffee shop - give them raises - because they are great ambassadors for this establishment. Would highly recommend if you are planning to stay in downtown.

Updated review, 5 years later... This place is not keeping up with itself. Feels worn, a lot of the historical charm is gone (cars out front), and their signature coffee drink is nowhere to be found in the morning. Service folks are not friendly.
Original review 5 years ago:
Pretty great, new hotel. Awesome room. Great ambiance. Where Tina left Ike! So much history here. The redevelopment is incredible... This place sat vacant for 17 years and was nearly torn down. Well worth the wait.

Spectacular Mid Century Modern hotel with elegant rooms and a fabulous view from the rooftop bar. Highly recommended.

My only complaint was how cold the hotel was, otherwise it was really nice.

We booked a suite for the weekend. Arrival was a bit disappointing as they could not accomodate a vehicle higher than 6’5. This is Texas. Most all garages are 6’8 to 6’10 height. We had to park in a public garage down the street.
The Room was nice but wall light switches were confusing or not connected to anything. Walk switches for curtains did not work as they were manual. Why have switches installed?
More reviews after our stay is complete.

I booked a two day stay as a birthday staycation . While the hotel itself was gorgeous and staff was very friendly , I was a little underwhelmed that the room didn’t have a mini fridge ( it didn’t have a microwave either but that pretty common). Also when I booked my stay I planned to relax and refresh and enjoy the 19th floor roof top pool however I was not able to because there were parties going on all day each day I stayed .

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. First, I will say great location. Second, Erik, the bartender, on the 19th floor, is a must. He is so friendly and a veteran. As for the other staff on 19th Floor. I watched a lot of female employees take 100 selfies. Third, Trey in the front when you first walk in is one of the
nicest people I have ever met. However, housrkeeping showed up 15 minutes before we left for an important event. I had them leave towels so we would have them for the next day.
Overall, the hotel was nice.

Had high hopes for this hotel.. unfortunately I was disappointed. No mini fridge in room to keep drinks cool. No water in room to make coffee in morning. Asked for wine glasses to be delivered to room and they never brought them. Called room service 4 different time and was sent to voicemail. Had to call front desk. The view from the window was another roof instead of park across the street. Payed over $500 for 1 night stay in king room. Just not worth it! Much better hotels in area.

A Perfect Blend of Luxury and History!
I had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Statler Hotel in Dallas! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful blend of modern design with historic charm. The lobby is stunning, and you can immediately feel the legacy of this iconic hotel while enjoying all the contemporary updates.
The service was top-notch. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and were incredibly attentive to every detail. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was professional, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay perfect.
My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I had in weeks! The views of downtown Dallas from my room were breathtaking, especially at night.
The hotel offers so many amenities – from the rooftop pool with an incredible view of the city, to the multiple dining options. I had dinner at Scout, and the food was amazing. The vibrant atmosphere there really added to the overall experience.
Location-wise, The Statler couldn’t be more perfect. It’s right in the heart of downtown Dallas, close to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shopping. It’s ideal for both business travelers and tourists.
Overall, my stay at The Statler Hotel was flawless. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, this hotel offers luxury, comfort, and a piece of Dallas history. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again! Highly recommend!
