Zero stars! This review is long overdue and was my experience at the Baylor branch in particular. Unfortunately drawing a blank w her name at the moment…I think it was Marcy, or Marjorie, or Madison or something…I know it started with an “M. But it was the one who went from teller position to chief executive officer of PlainsCapital after a day of training. She was extremely condescending to me and the rest of family, asked inappropriate questions, and lacked business etiquette for such a prestigious bank position she held…I tried to address the issue with Hilltop Holdings bankers and I was told they would look into this matter but were busy addressing potential closing of some PlainsCap. bank locations due to lack of business and low volume of cash on hand. 1 or 2 times the branch opened up 10-15 min late making me late for work. There was never a single customer in the bank when I visited, and that also goes for the Victory Park location. Never a customer inside that branch either but 8-10 people clocked in and sitting at their desks with their heads engulfed at their pc’s and never acknowledging me entering the bank. It was like a ghost town inside these banks which gave a vibe that they were going out of business. The 18111 Preston Rd North Dallas location-I tried to withdraw $ there only to be told by the teller she would need her manager to get an over-ride bc they were low on money but he was not available bc he was outside on a smoke break—I did not mind waiting and finally after about 20 min. the manager appeared and was back from his smoke break but did not apologize for having no money until later that day. I did not mind waiting so I came back a few hours later and same thing---the manager was not available bc he was out smoking across the breeze-way to the other building. I actually experienced this twice in my few visits to this branch. I thought smoking was a thing in the past. I would not recommend banking here—their lack of investing in premier cyber security is a major concern and people should be aware PlainsCap. bank sent out notices to it customers cautioning for us to be on the look out for fraudulent activity due to them using MOVEit which had a cyberattack potentially exposing sensitive data. I also have accts at Bank of America, and WellsFargo and never received such warning from them.

Fantastic customer service! This is what a bank should be. Karen, Chris, and Mo are terrific. They even have safe deposit boxes at this location (and most other locations, at least in Dallas). What a difference this makes. They are conveniently located in one of the new medical office buildings directly across from Baylor University Medical Center...super convenient for those of us who practice at BUMC. Oh, and they have a special "Protect and Serve" account for medical, fire, police, and military personnel.

Been banking here for 7 years now. I deposited a check on tuesday and they put it on hold until next tuesday. I deposited that check because i had bills to pay, now i have no money until they feel like giving me MY MONEY. I could've just cashed my check and i wouldnt been broke. Now I have to pay late fees and disconnection fees because they put MY MONEY on hold for an entire week. I have no money. I do not recomment this bank and I will be switching as soon as they give me my money. They deserve 0 stars!
