I've been here once before and I love the way she washes my hair! She is very talented, it's almost as if you were at hair spa 🥰 the aftermath is phenomenal. My hair is always healthier and bouncier

At the risk of changing the availability of this unique and inexpensive local hair salon, I am going to give a big yelp to PJ Hair Salon on Walnut Street. First of all, I am as caucasian as it gets and this salon is hidden within an asian grocery and other small retailers - so expect a unique experience just getting to Suite 360F. Second, do not expect lavish decor or even a hair wash (I do not recall ever seeing a hairwashing sink) - but you will get a trained stylist to focus on your hair and what you want done. Make sure you bring along a photo of the hair style you want to achieve (if it differs from your current look) and it is best to make an appointment first. They treat appointments as priority but will fit walk-ins where possible. Last, Kim has been my stylist and the one I recommend if you want a trendy new haircutI I do my best to promote the small, local retailers that provide exceptional service and may be off the beaten path. These small businesses often provide great value and professional service because their reputation depends on it and they do not answer to shareholder profits.

P J Salon is my favorite place to get a haircut in DFW. It's a small salon located inside an indoor shopping center next to an Asian grocery store. It's not like one of those chain haircut places like Style America who will spend literally 5 minutes cutting your hair then have the nerve to charge you $15. There are two Vietnamese ladies at P J Salon who actually take their time to give you a proper haircut. I recommend the younger lady as she does a more meticulous job. She'll actually wash the gel out of my hair before she cuts it so I don't end up with random uncut hairs. So you could just get a haircut for $12, but then you'd be missing out on the best part. For an extra $3, you can get the shampoo, which is actually a relaxing 3 minute long head massage & shampoo. They will massage and rinse three different wonderful-smelling shampoo/conditioners into your hair before they are done. Bottle line is you can get a *good* haircut plus a head massage & shampoo for the same price as a haircut at other lesser places. I normally go during my lunch break and I've never had to wait yet. 4-stars only because it could always be cheaper.
