This facility "prides" itself on their core values-Act with kindness, Embrace individuality, Do the right thing, Make a difference together, and Champion patient care. These core values are plastered everywhere, and most, if not all, of these core values were not displayed or met while my mom was a patient at Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital. The lack of champion[ing] patient care, act[ing] with kindness and not do[ing] the right thing are discussed below. My mom was informed by an NP that she did not feel comfortable discharging her home because of her condition. However, she was not transferred to a hospital. I had to ensure my mom was transferred to a hospital by calling 911. I was told so many different responses as to why mom mom was not transferred to a hospital.1. You will have to call.2. If they were going to transfer her, it should have been done yesterday.3. Your mom spoke with the NP who explained at length the POC. The NP was informed that you are a nurse and was comfortable discharging her home. First of all, did the NP call to ensure we would feel comfortable or ask my speciality (I'm a NICU nurse), and my sister is a psych nurse. Second, did the NP call to ensure we would be home? Nope, I'm scheduled to work 12/24 and 12/25. In addition, my sister will be out of town, so nobody would be at home with my mom. Furthermore, we do not have medical equipment to monitor my mom's HR, RR, SPO2, etc.In my opinion, Asia (primary nurse), the NP, or Pam (charge nurse) did not champion patient care for my mom nor did they do the right thing. Of course, after I called 911, I was informed that they got orders from the NP to call 911. Why wasn't this taken care of on Friday or prior to my arrival? When I'm at a facility to visit a relative, I never disclose that I'm a nurse. I prefer to observe. My mom informed me that she was mistreated by Lynette, a patient care tech. My mom could not remember the tech's name at the time, but stated she was rude and condescending. So, I addressed my concerns with Pam, the charge nurse. I explained what occurred, she listened, and was apologetic. Pam, said she would have to do some research to figure out the tech's name. I explained to Pam that I did not want that tech to care for my mom. I told my mom to call me or the charge nurse if the tech is assigned to her. The following day, the tech was assigned to my mom. Lynette had the audacity to confront my mom about the issues she was having with her. Lynette did "not act with kindness" or "champion patient care" when she confronted my mom. I was not happy after my mom explained what occurred. So, my sister and I immediately drove to the facility. I spoke with Pam (charge nurse) and Ethel (nurse manager). Pam was so fixated on the fact that my mom told her the incident occurred two weeks ago. Pam stated your mom wasn't at the facility two weeks ago.Pam reiterated what my mom told her again and again. However, common sense would tell you that if my mom wasn't at the facility two weeks ago then look at the day she arrived. My mom deserves some grace because she had been in the hospital since 11/23 and was transferred to the Methodist Rehabilitation on 12/14.A safety concern I had was when my mom was left in the bathroom unattended (this is a safety risk), so that Lynette could make a patient's bed. Lynette did not "Do the right thing". When is making a patient's bed more important than ensuring a patient's safety?I pride myself on providing excellent customer service, and I don't feel my mom received excellent customer care or service at Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital. The people were rude and abrasive to my mom. Additionally, they stopped responding to her call light after she tested positive for covid. One evening, my mom did not receive her dinner tray. I had to call the facility to inform them.Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and should never be talked down to, yelled at, lied to, or belittled. With that b

August 23rd was our first day here, we were welcomed with a loud clap happy announcement over the P.A. system you know where everyone hears it by all staff such a humbling feeling. Not a day went by we didn't get a smile, how you doing, need anything not only for my son who was the patient but for me as well (mom) they gave me the best accommodation right along his side treated me no different from him even with the meals included and suite. The nurses, techs, doctors, housekeeping the rehabilitation team, administrators all were all so helpful and gave us the knowledge to our life changing experience. My son is very grateful with a full heart of love and still has a lot to learn with his new disability, we've came along ways beginning with everyone here. Thank you all so much for everything for going above and beyond for him and me, we couldn't have done it without you all ❤️ Thank you Methodist rehabilitation hospital you all are the best.

My Dad had a recent stay at Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital and the care was outstanding! His aide, Dominique, was one of the most caring and compassionate souls I've ever met. All of his nurses were great. One physical therapist, Caroline, was extremely helpful in getting my father back to walking so that he could return home. I normally don't write reviews but thought that this might be helpful to someone who might be having to choose a rehab facility for their family member. To all of the staff at Methodist Rehab...you have made a big difference in someone's life and we greatly appreciate what you do and the compassion care that you showed each day!

My grandmother was admitted to Methodist Rehab for a TBI. She had a phenomenal experience with everybody she encountered including nursing, MDs, housekeeping, pharmacy, PT, OT, techs, case management, and admissions. The techs were attentive to detail and always assisted her when she called for help. She discharged from this facility with an amazing improvement in strength, balance, and overall quality of life. My grandmother is a very picky eater, but she kept talking about how delicious the food was. I'd recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for top notch quality care!

I took my dad to this rehab because it had good reviews but it was a bad mistake. The night techs were horrible my dad had to call me so I could call them because he needed help to go to the bathroom. The therapist hardly worked with him not very informative to the family members. The case worker not very informative . The doctors don’t really care about patients. He stayed there for 11 days therapists hardly worked with him he was mainly in bed. When he was discharged no improvement he was very short of breath could hardly walk next day had to take him to the ER he had gotten neumonia. I also tried to make a complain but they where either in a meeting or unavailable.

Top notch care all around - from techs, RNs, MDs, therapists, housekeeping, food services, admissions, case managers, pharmacy, and administration. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing inpatient rehab! My mom wouldn't have had such successful outcomes without Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital!

The attention to all the details of your health is fanominal. Physical Therapy/therapists were dedicated to my individual needs. Offered a good obstacle course which I was grateful for doing allowing me to gain experience needed to transverse all the stairs, ramps, etc.Far above than the other PT therapy facilities was knowl. The skills I needed were addressed which aided me to walk with this prothesis.

Was very disappointed with the facility. They were short staffed I heard the staff complaining about each other. Constant mistakes in documentation, not providing medication as prescribed and BIG violations of HIPPA laws.

Everyone since day 1 has been nice, communicative and encouraging. They address concerns and their response time is very short. Its comforting leaving my loved one in their care!!!
