Went here to find a holster. Called multiple shops and was finally able to get a suitable holster from here. The only issue I really saw was the $40 surcharge just to look at a firearm and give an estimate (if repairs are not made). In my own shop, I charge nothing for the estimate, but also do not guarantee the return of a functioning item if recommended repairs are not made. (I would consider a $20 charge reasonable). Overall a great place to go for odds and ends and accessories. I cannot speak on the smithing services, as I do my own smithing and have not used their services, but the smith I spoke with seemed very knowledgeable and if I did require someone else to fix my firearms and didn't know much about them, I'd likely get it estimated or diagnosed somewhere else (some repairs can quickly become several hundred dollars while others could be just a few dollars), then likely bring it here for the actual repairs. I saw they have all the tools to do most common smithing work.Thank you for helping find a holster that worked for a firearm that isn't really mainstream enough to have their own holster line. Again, overall great place and I highly recommend, even though they are technically a competitor of mine.

I bought a used Remington 12 ga. from McClelland’s and had them turn it into a home defense gun. They removed the stock and replaced it with a pistol grip, cut down the barrel to a legal length and added an extension tube to hold additional shells. The work was flawless and the price was reasonable. I was very pleased.

Folks who run the shop are nice, but I was pretty shocked when they charged me almost $250 to transfer 3 firearms I ordered online. I’m sure it may be a store policy to charge full price for every gun that is transferred (even if they are all at once on the same paperwork?), but that is unique in most other stores I have used. I needed scopes, ammo, and accessories for the 3 guns I ordered, but chose to go to another store to buy those because I felt ripped off by the excessive transfer fees. I’ll be buying and transferring at other stores around Dallas moving forward— nothing personal, again they’re nice folks. But no one else I’ve encountered would charge people like that for a simple transfer.

The actual inventory of items is rather small, but their services in both customer service and gunsmithing are absolutely to notch!They offer especially low prices for the latter as well, so if you need any work done or troubleshooting on any of your firearms, don't bother with anyone else!

Been a customer at McClellan for the past 3 months. Had a grip job done on my Ruger mark 4 that I was impressed with. Other than that I took in my 1911 pistol for a front and back sight replacement and was not too impressed with the overall results. This repair took a total of 5 weeks, I would kindly follow up week after week to only find out that my front sight was shot off twice. The back sight was also uneven after I told them twice to align the sights properly. These guys just don’t care when if comes to gun mechanics. Taking my guns to another smith from now on.
