We had booked adjoining rooms for a girls trip several months ago for a two night stay and when we checked in, the hotel couldn’t accommodate it. We were disappointed and dealt with it for the first night and asked the front desk staff to help us for the second night. The front desk wasn’t very helpful but thankfully we ultimately got connected with a manager Kim who was willing to make the adjustment. Kim’s kindness saved the experience for us.

The only parking option is valet. Alternative parking options are slim.

We visited for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We walked the Katy Trail and walked to a lot of fun Dallas restaurants and bars. Great location and beautiful room!

Great hotel. Nice and clean with friendly staff. The valets David and Clark were extremely helpful and really made a day of stressful travel disappear in the breeze. Found myself chit chatting with them for over thirty minutes. Great team and great hotel!

Check-in took over 30 mins. First the card reader was not working, then the key card was not working. I reserved a king size bed. I got two doubles. It’s like a scene from Seinfeld. They know how to take reservations. They just don’t know how to hold the reservation. Also, in what world does a hotel charge paying guest for WiFi access? In my world, you go to the office and you come back to the hotel to work some more…EVERYDAY. No way am I paying $15/day for WiFi access. Are they crazy? Also, the areas is not the greatest. It’s a deserted island

They overbooked their rooms and then had the nerve to claim they couldn't find my reservation! After a argument, they offered a different room type. AVOID them like the plague; they resort to lying when they screw up with overbooking!

I stayed here for four nights this week. First, there was hair in the wash rags that were rolled up and put on the shelf in my bathroom. Second, I had a rental car for one night and valet parked it for me. I was charged valet charges for all 4 nights. I called to get this removed from my bill and was put on hold forever. It is not resolved. I was told it had to be investigated. Customer service is not acceptable. This was not handled well: I should not be put on hold indefinitely and told they need to investigate an incorrect charge.

The Marriott in uptown Dallas is an absolute gym. The M lounge in the lobby is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly. The food and drinks are incredible in the lobby bar. If you’re looking for a luxury property in downtown Dallas, this is an absolute mess do not do not do not stay at the JW Marriott in Art district.

Great time staying at this hotel. We came for the weekend. Rooms are very nice, clean, and modern. The hotel lobby is very relaxing and the restaurant serves great food. Side note - beds are very comfy. I'll definitely be staying here if I visit again.

We arrived at the Marriott Dallas Uptown Saturday early afternoon . My wife and I headed to the American Airlines Arena to watch our first NHL game. It was awesome. We headed back to the Marriott Dallas Uptown after the hockey game. We sat down in the bar area to enjoy a glass of wine and some snacks. This is when we met Gideon . This young man has a bright future in front of him. He never let our wine glasses go dry and he never let our appetizers run out. He always had a friendly smile and an answer for our needs. He was truly fantastic. Then , the next day , we encountered an issue with the tv. It was some kind of system glitch. We called the front desk and they stated there was a systems issue that interfered with the television . They sent another young man by the name of Tyjon who reset the television and he was as kind and helpful as Gideon. With these two guys on staff I am sure the Marriott Dallas Uptown will continue to keep making their customers happy for a long time.

Was surprised to find out there was a Starbucks off of the lobby. Should feature this more visibility.
