What started as a simple alignment-coupon visit back in mid-June ended with a completely fried transmission just 95 days later — and me having to buy a new car.
When my vehicle suddenly lost all drive function (no forward or reverse), I took it straight to Planet Ford because I assumed I was dealing with an internal transmission failure. That’s when I learned the truth: the transmission had lost its fluid due to a major leak at the driver-side CV axle — the exact area Kwik Kar had serviced. Had I known the axle work and the transmission failure were connected, I would have returned to them immediately.
I only agreed to replace the entire CV axle because Clayton, the shop manager, told me the torn boot near the driver’s-side tire required a full axle replacement. But after the work was done, a slow leak developed at the seal/bushing area. It was later confirmed by multiple technicians that the issue came from excess play caused by the replacement axle shaft not properly fitting the original transmission bushing — a bushing they inspected and claimed was “fine,” but clearly was not.
All I can do now is warn others: please think twice before bringing your vehicle there. The promises of help were not followed through, the accountability never came, and I would not wish this experience on anyone.

I visited this shop 3 times regarding my check engine light and each time they could not figure out what the issue was and sent me on my way. They would simply reset the light and it would come back on a week after each reset. I would NOT recommend this location if you are looking for an actual solution to your car issues. It seems they have more of a bandaid fix operating model. Again, do not recommend!

Two guys worked on an oil change on my Porsche for 2+ hours and still didn't get it right (overfilled). Had to go to a Porsche dealer after to get it fixed. Kwik Kar nevertheless charged me $140+ for the oil change. They refused a refund. If you have a car you care about, don't take it there. Of course no response when they offer to communicate. Scammers.

Came in for oil change and inspection. Zach quickly identified other urgent issues that needed repair. He worked during store hours and stayed after store closing for 2+ hours to get them done so I didn’t have to come back another day. He worked speedily and sacrificed his free time to make sure I got everything done on a Sunday. Appreciate your help and mechanical expertise, Zach! I will be back for future repairs.

I have been a lifelong valvoline oil change person. I recently had multiple bad experiences at the one in Dallas, the most recent waiting in line for 40 minutes and then finding out they can’t do the emissions test after I called beforehand and asked.
I decided to try Kwik Kar for the first time. Even though it was during the busy time, they had me in and out, they met up with me at my car when I pulled up. Answered the call quickly before I arrived and I spoke with someone from the store. And had a nice waiting room. Super happy. This was much better than valvoline in the area. Glad I made the switch.

Friendly and very reasonable! I did a walk in and had my car worked on in less that 30mins. They gave me the cheapest option and were not out to get me. Highly recommend!
