**Update- I am pleased to report that management compensated my account for the additional funds that were required for movers due to the malfunctioning freight elevator. Thank you Jerold and Stephanie!!**
I currently reside here and have for 3+ years. While the 4 elevators are rarely all ever working- recently it has been treacherous living here. For the last 2 months, only 2 elevators have worked. And the elevators are synchronized so at times it feels like only 1 is working. I decided to upgrade apartments- while moving, the freight elevator stopped working. On that day, only 1 of the main elevators was working and so it would have been impossible to use the main elevators (wait times were up to 30 minutes and also completely packed). I had to pay hundreds off dollars out of my pocket to hire movers to come AGAIN on a Saturday at 6 am - due to that being the only open availability of the freight elevator. I have really enjoyed my time here but if I was looking to move into a new apartment- I absolutely would NOT choose gables park 17. I have a dog and it sometimes takes an hour between going up and down the elevator to take her out. They did send an email requesting people to take the stairs to lighten the load of the elevator situation- like that is easy to do from the 21st floor!

I have lived all over the world, experienced different luxury apartments, management and staff. This has got to be the worst ever experience in my life. A month into moving here, the building caught fire, sending every resident to live in hotels for 4 days. During this time, the electricity was off, so the building had no protection, so 4 cars were stolen out of our ‘private’ garage. The staff didn’t care. Now wonder they require you to pay for renters insurance. 8 months later, the pipes froze in our building, and oh, that transformer that caught fire earlier? Well it caught fire again, sending billows of smoke up and into the hallways of 24 floors! We were sent to hotels this time for an entire month. During this time, only 3 cars were stolen, AND 5 units broken into. We returned to find black soot all over our apartments from the fire. A few months later, 2 more cars were stolen again from the garage. When questioning the security camera footage, management told everyone, ‘it’s technology, they don’t work, nothing lasts forever’ LAZY LAZY! So now what? Ever since I’ve moved in here, the elevators (4 in total) have NEVER worked. And don’t bother telling management. Like everything else, they just blame it on someone else, in this case, “we’ve called maintenance and just waiting to hear back”. Oh and last year, when those pipes froze? Someone it broke the pool, so half of summer last year was spent going to hotel pools. The management team here is LAZY, they take ZERO responsibility, and when asked about the constant cars stolen, they tell you that’s the risk from living downtown in Dallas. I would never ever recommend this building to anyone and I will continue to make these posts until they fire the entire management staff here

I was very pleased touring Park 17. If you are looking for fantastic amenities and excellent view of downtown, then this is your place! The office staff is very friendly and made me feel at ease when answering my questions. The overall aesthetic is pleasing and I am happy I am going to be living at this property.

I have lived here for over 7 years. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the living here. The front office staff has always been helpful and the maintenance crew takes action. There are a few things that could be better, but I’ve lived in several communities in Dallas and there is a reason why I have been here for so long. I recommend this to anyone looking for a home in a great location. Walking distance to all types of great spots around uptown and victory park, including the AA center and Katy Trail.

Elevators breaking down constantly has become incredibly frustrating especially with having an elder dog who needs to be walked frequently.
I know the building management are doing their best so I do not hold it against them but I do hold corporate accountable for this complete miserable experience with the elevators. I have missed meetings while waiting for the elevators and I know others have as well. Would not recommend anyone move in here until the elevator issues are fully resolved and stay resolved over an extended period of time.

Management is totally inept. The elevators are constantly breaking, and they blame the elevator people (the elevator maintenance people told me it’s because the building management doesn’t adequately cool the mechanical room). The freight elevator didn’t work when we moved in, so we had to pay our movers extra. Currently, only half of the elevators have been working for the past 2 weeks, but this has been constant since we moved in 2 years ago.
Management just decides to changes rules willy-nilly, like no longer accepting outgoing packages at the concierge desk. So not actually a full-service building.
Finally, management doesn’t even recognize me as I walk through the building. It would help if they got out of their ivory tower office space.

My fiancé and I moved here from Austin , and we wanted live in an area with with a great location that’s assessable to everything . Fortunately, on our hunt for apartments, we came across Gables park 17 and we were instantly amazed. Not only is it in a great location but the property itself is absolutely beautiful and the amenities are outstanding. They have a rooftop pool , an amazing gym with all the equipment you need and even a coffee machine so you can skip your starbucks runs . But it gets better , the property management and maintenance team are on top of everything and keep the property clean and organized. I will definitely be renewing my lease here once it’s time.

Really love this place would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a apartment complex in down town with amazing staff amazing residents would highly recommend speaking to Shannon brown she was very knowledgeable and helpful and really made us feel welcomed if you are looking for a hip downtown location that’s close to everything this is the place for you

From day one my wife and I have been spoiled by this amazing staff and property.Going on seven months of living here I have no complaints. The current office staff is kind and courteous to all tenants, and the concierge team is top notch.As a former law enforcement officer my main concern was safety and quality of living in Dallas. I'm not from a big city and was nervous about this from the beginning. Gables has provided a very safe living atmosphere and has made our stay as comfortable as I could have wished.The views are hard to beat in the metroplex, and the property amenities always stun our guest.There are several walking trails minutes away and excellent restaurants surrounding the property.Parking is about as good as it can get in Dallas with highway access less than a block away.The elevator issue that was spoken of in other reviews was also the case for many properties in Dallas at that time and has since been resolved.Overall our experience has been fantastic. I came in worried about Dallas living, and now the Gables team has me wanting to sign another lease and upsize our unit.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!Prejudice staff!As soon as I walk into the building the concierge racially profiles me and says “This is not the hood come to the front desk”. I walked in with another lovely WHITE man and he does not say a thing to him, but I was stopped by saying “this isn’t the hood”? Terrible customer service and behavior and he should be dealt with.

This is a great community so far in the time I've been here. Super clean, elevators work great. Parking security seems on point. All the staff is very friendly. No issues as of yet!
