"Horrible, one of the worst scams I've ever experienced. This hotel is under renovation, and the workers who are remodeling it actually live here. All the amenities are closed—there's no gym, no pool, no restaurant. This place is a dump. It's unbelievable that they are allowed to operate this kind of scam in the United States of America. There should be regulations and standards; promises, and once you've been scammed, they take no responsibility. All they say is that if you're not happy, they'll refund your money, which is an insult because we all know finding a hotel on the same day is expensive. I hope serious actions are taken, or this hotel is shut down completely because it shouldn't be operating under these conditions."
Rooms: Terrible horror movie hotel, I don't understand how it can operate under the name of Holiday Inn, it's an armed robbery, I could say it's less than 1 star, it doesn't even deserve the hotel category, don't stay here, you'll have the worst experience of your life. history.
Nearby activities: There are hundreds of activities just look for them
Safety: Security is acceptable
Walkability: No possibility of walking
Food & drinks: Fatal, it's a lack of respect, it's a horrible breakfast in prison, they give you a better breakfast than here. They give you a bag of fruit as a prisoner.
Noteworthy details: It is really a scam because when you make your reservation they never make the comment that the hotel is being remodeled and with the amenities closed, do not be fooled by scammers.

About 2 weeks ago we stayed at the Holiday Inn Market Place in Dallas on their site it shows the property and rooms they look great but when we arrived to check in they are having renovations not once when I spoke to their booking agent did they mention they were under construction. It was a mess our rooms did not have working outlets to plug our electrical devices to, we only found 1 that was working and we had to share it there was 3 of us staying in the room. Also their phone was not working so if we needed to call the front desk we couldn’t so we had to use our cell phones to communicate with them. The hotel front desk came up to the room and asked us did we really need the phone to use we said yes because if 911 was needed we couldn’t call but only off our cell phones so they sent someone to fix it but they were unable to so the next morning we had someone banging on the door telling us we needed to move our car or it was going to be towed. This staff person was so rude so we go down to move the car and we told them that there was no closed off signs when we arrived saying we couldn’t park there. The person at the front desk then went outside to move the barriers so we could park it where we needed to. This is why we needed the phone to work because of things like this. Staying here was very disappointing because we were there for medical reasons for my sister to get her testing done for a liver transplant. This was close to the hospitals we had to go to but now we have to consider other hotels to stay nearby for the next time we have to come back to Dallas.

Honestly it was a in-between experience here.
The staff are the best part of this hotel.
They're kind, happy to see you when you come back or leave.
The gentleman running the limited breakfast is the kindest man.
The housekeepers are consistent and give you privacy. If you need anything asking them is a breeze and they're always more than happy to help.
The place is Def under construction, which has been the only annoyance here.
They start early, around 845 till about 4 or 5.
They got a microwave down stairs so bring something you can cook with.
The fridge is in your room, a typical mini fridge.
But Location wise, you're literally less than 20 min from EVERYthing in Dallas.
Sure it's a lil sketchy at night but compared to downtown Dallas its nothing. Keep your stuff locked like in ANY city and you shouldn't have a problem. I've yet to see any loitering at night on premise.. when this place isn't under construction it's got a bunch of stuff, gym, pool, full breakfast.
So take this with what you will.

I was trying to get a room for the night. There was a guy sitting in the parking lot when I arrived. No luggage, just a bag. Looked rather sketchy honestly. They had a dumpster out from, and part of the driveway blocked off. It looked like they might have been renovating. I decided to leave without getting a room.

Comfortable and clean rooms at an affordable price. Friendly and helpful staff. It is time for a remodel, and apparently they are working on it because I have heard noise from maintenance work during my stay. If you're looking for a cheap place to rest your head at night, it's fine. It has parking.

HORRIBLE! From the customer service by the dark skinned lady at the front desk, down to the contaminated water that burned mine and my husbands eyes in the shower. Plus everything in between. Not sure if there was bed bugs but my husband has numerous bites, there was no microwave, it was under renovation and had no amenities (didn’t tell us until after we checked in), the only ice machine that worked was on the 9th floor, there was banging from renovating far too early in the morning. The list continues to go on, but I’ll stop there.

Our room was sufficient however the service was absolutely awful. Kenny Smith was rude and essentially threatened our reservation for asking him to allow another lady who could not get a room(They do not accept cash) to stay inside the a/c (It was 100° outside) while she waited for a cab. Refusing that he proceeded to threaten security on my wife and I and another couple that also took offense at his callousness. 0 out of 5 would not recommend supporting this business.

Working people are very kind and good. But room and environment is too old and humble. They are under construction for renovation at that time.

Do not stay here with pets. There is no area to take them, the area is really shady so going for a walk feels like you’ll get mugged. As for the shady area there is nothing within walking distance. You can tell the building is really old. Although they are renovating the hotel, the elevators have peel’n’stick tile coming off the walls, the hotel needs a lot of work. The customer service was medium, not good not bad. There is nothing to eat at the hotel or nearby so be prepared to drive all over Dallas for food. The worst part was the AC barely works. It’s central AC and although it sounds like a jet engine all night long, it takes all night to cool the room. Overall not impressed, the is a holiday about 5 minutes away that was much better for pets, walking to get food or snacks, and was easier to get to. Last thing was the doors have about an inch gap in the bottom so you hear everyone else on the floor. You can tell the owner has no interest in having a quality property, only revenue due to location.
Update: As a IHG Diamond Elite member take it from me, after looking at the reviews, look at the hotel’s responses. They copy paste for anything under 4 stars, showing that the owners can not for the hotel. Honest owners and GM’s would be concerned with the number of negative reviews.

## WARNING Hotel under renovation ##
While the price may seem ok, It is barely worth staying here while this renovation is taking place. I was expected to go without hot water or take a refund…hardly an acceptable option late at night.
I don’t blame the employees as this is obviously the hotel owner or IHG’s problem. But there’s no indication at or after booking that a disruptive renovation is underway.

I've been coming here for years. The front desk staff are always amazing. I'm excited for the renovations to be done.
Christina and Kenny are keystones to this hotels operation.
The cleaning staff are always phenomenal too. Tip them.
The GM was rude to me. He needs to work on his people skills. Not make assumptions about people or who he is talking to.
