Literally cannot discourage you strongly enough from using this location AND Hertz in general. Worst customer experience in any field, ever. I am actively discouraging everyone I know from ever using Hertz again.

This location is closed from April 7th to at least July 7th, 2025, per Hertz Social Media Team. There are no new dropoffs or pickups allowed, so make sure you check in case you do because I was not notified, and more or left stranded here. I went to the Mesquite Location about 10 minutes to the Southeast who was able to help me out thankfully.

Not a very good service if you have to book a vehicle with a credit card days before you can walk out with the keys…

Had a stellar experience at this Hertz location today. FYI it's in the car dealership if you can't find it. Delwin was my customer service representative and he went above and beyond. Very professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Rented from here to avoid high airport fees, would rent again.

Super easy process at this local Hertz location. Upon arrival, Dillon (believe that is his name) had agreement and keys in hand. Easiest rental process outside of Prez Circle at the airport. Needed to extend the rental and location picked up on first call. Great experience.

I was robbed by an employee that details car vehicles at this location after my car was taken due to breach of contract from hertz technical difficulties. The manager here did not want to investigate the issue at all and suggested that I just contact corporate. I am currently taking action. I am fully aware that the link in the automated message below has been provided as a false remedy to multiple complaints. If you were to copy this link yourself, you would see that it does not lead to an hertz affiliated website, instead it leads to your facebook profile.

Roosevelt gets at least 4 stars! Overall Hertz gets 2.5 stars, maybe 3.
On the front end I should say that I like Hertz; I’ve been a gold member for a long time. However, they should have a better response when a problem with one of their vehicles arises, and I shouldn’t have to put forth extra effort for them to make good on promises or statements they make... My car’s transmission was recently replaced and I didn’t want to drive my car on a relatively long trip from Dallas to Austin, so I rented a vehicle from a non-airport Hertz location–pickup on day 1 and returning on day 5. Everything went smoothly while picking up the rental on day 1, and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes (thanks Roosevelt!), and the drive to Austin went just fine. The next morning of day 2, I couldn’t get the key fob to work–it wouldn’t unlock the vehicle, or open the truck, or anything else. I eventually called Hertz roadside assistance. They were able to remotely diagnose the problem and told me the voltage of the vehicle’s battery was reading low: 7 volts instead of 12. (I thought the key fob battery died, but I guess it was the vehicle’s battery.) Hertz sent AAA to unlock and jump the vehicle. Unlocking it wasn’t as easy as a YouTube video would suggest. It took a pair of vice grips and both of us to get the vehicle open, and then the AAA guy got it jumped and started rather easily. He said I should let it run or drive it for at least 30 minutes, but I will need to exchange it at Hertz for a different vehicle because the battery’s reading was below 2 volts and is nearly dead. (What? I have things to do… I need to take my kid to a 1st round UIL contest, and this is going to make us late!) I called Hertz back, told them about the dead battery and how busy I was, and asked them to bring an exchange vehicle to me to swap out. (I know that was a long shot, but in a perfect world they should do it, right?) The only place I can exchange the vehicle was at the Austin airport location because all nearby non-airport locations were closed for the holiday weekend. I exchanged it, was told it would be better to return the exchange-vehicle to an airport location in Dallas, and then we went directly to the UIL contest–they also said I didn’t need to refill the first vehicle’s gas tank, but I had already done so the night before. Since there was not going to be a 2nd round contest (disqualified for being late), we traveled back to Dallas on day 3 in the afternoon. During the morning of day 4, I gassed up the exchange-vehicle and returned it to an airport location because I was told it was better to do so and the original non-airport location was closed for Memorial Day–also, I wanted to put an end to this rental. The customer service rep. at the Dallas-Love airport location said there will be a fee for dropping off at the airport location instead of the original non-airport location. (What? They want to charge extra for returning to the airport location when it was their suggestion, and they have yet to make any concessions for the dead battery ordeal?) This is the point where I had to put forth quite a bit of extra effort for them to make good on promises and statements they made previously, and the rep. left to talk to the manager. A while later, the rep. returned and said the manager removed the alternative location fee and removed the fee for the gas tank being 25% less than full. I asked, what gas? “Oh, the gas fee for the vehicle you just dropped off; it was only three-quarters full.” I asked, what are you talking about because I gassed up on the way here before dropping off, so the tank is full? He shrugged his shoulders. (What kind of scam are they running?)
So I gave 2.5 stars for less than stellar service. Roosevelt at the original non-airport location (on NW Hwy & I-635) should get at least 4 stars for being helpful and courteous, but the vehicle he rented out to me had a bad battery that died the very next morning, and things just went downhill from there. But as I stated at the beginning, I like Hertz.

Too slow, I arrived and I had to wait 30 minutes to see the agent to pick up my car, as I had to wait for another customer to pick up her car, then the agent said that her car was not ready and it needed to be washed, so I had to wait for that to be done. Then, after she left, I was told that the car that I had reserved several days earlier also needed to be washed before I could get it....... hello......if you know that you have cars scheduled for pickup and they need to be cleaned.......then clean them and have them ready for pickup....unbelievable, I wasted an hour there because of incompetence and dirty cars, I have rented probably a thousand cars, normally Hertz is better than this.
