Excellent place to rent. Rent it online. Picked up at the airport without stopping at the counter.

Hertz: Cold, Bureaucratic, and Uncaring – Especially With Veterans
My recent experience with Hertz’s damage claim process has been extremely negative. When my rental car was hit while parked, I was told by Frankie Stafford and Gary Hayden (Supervisor,) that I had to pay over $2,500—even after my card insurance paid $700.
Instead of helping, Hertz staff repeatedly pushed me toward monthly payment plans or one-time settlements ($2,100) but refused to pursue the actual responsible party or provide fair support. Even after escalating to President Gil West all I got were form letters and demands for payment.
As a disabled veteran and loyal renter, I found Hertz’s approach dismissive and unhelpful. I’ve moved my business elsewhere, and would strongly caution others to reconsider renting from Hertz. Their customer service feels more like debt collection than actual support.

Great pickup, great car — but a terrible drop-off experience and final bill.
For years, I rented exclusively from Hertz, until the cleanliness of their vehicles became intolerable. I switched my loyalty to a competitor and stayed with them for the past few years. Recently, I decided to give Hertz another chance — partly to see if the experience had improved and partly to use the status I earned through their partnership with Delta Airlines.
After driving only about 100 miles and having the car for roughly six hours, it cost just $7 to refuel at a gas station right next to the return lot. Yet, when I received my final bill, I was charged an additional fueling fee. Unfortunately, I didn’t expect this and didn’t save the gas receipt or take a photo of the full fuel gauge at drop-off. As a result, I ended up paying extra for something I had already taken care of — and it feels like I’ve been taken advantage of.
I’ll be returning my loyalty to Hertz’s competitor, and I’ve learned to always keep documentation with any rental company in the future. It’s disappointing to see how little value companies seem to place on loyalty and trust these days.

Once arrived at Hertz to pick up the rental we were provided the wrong car and asked to unload the car and load another car provided by the manager. Once loaded in the second car we were asked again to unload the car as again it was the wrong one. We have a baby and all the necessary items that come with that. It was a huge inconvenience as we waited an additional hour trying to resolve the issue and get the correct car that was assigned to us. We paid for tolls, however the car given to us did not have a toll tag. We were wrongfully charged and customer service was of no help. We will not be renting with Hertz again. Definitely not family or user friendly. Really unhappy with Hertz service and lack of service, support, and empathy.

Terrible Customer Service. They said Gold membership can skip the line but there are no cars and you have to wait in a line to ask want to do

This was the smoothest and easiest car rental I have ever had, the staff were friendly and helpful and the return was a breeze.

The car I reserved wasn’t available. There was a line of at least 30 people with one Hertz worker behind the counter. I ended up upgrading to a more expensive car to avoid waiting in the huge line. Once I went to get the car I could see there were cars that matched my reservation, so it seemed it was a lie that the car I reserved wasn’t available. Seemed like a scam to get you to upgrade and pay more. Will never use Hertz again.

I made a reservation for a car on the Hertz app. Unfortunately I had to modify my reservation twice . Was later told I had 3 reservations and was charged $100 each to cancel the 2 modifications. When I went to get my car, as a gold member theee was no car in that area for me or several other people. I waited for customer service without a hello or acknowledgment of being there. When he finally turned to help me he told me to call customer service about the charges and then told me to go to a different area to get a car. Without helping further he walked out and off.
I found a car though there were very few there . There was a large black garbage bag in it and the gas was apparently not full though hard to tell.
On leaving fortunately the guy at the gate to let us through said he would help and using my name he produced the needed paperwork for me.
Very disappointed with this experience .
The return was great, helpful staff and quick to get through and back to the airport. That was much appreciated!
I am so disappointed and questioning using hertz in the future.

I wish I could give them zero stars!!! One hour and 20 minutes of waiting. I booked two months in advance. At the counter, they didn’t accept my reservation via Booking.com because it didn’t include the taxes.(I booked it when I was in Europe using my account on the Booking.com app) the receipt showed “taxes will be included in the full price” which was a total of $93.00.
They asked me for an international drivers license which it didn’t make sense. They didn’t wanna hear any reason and they were very narrow minded. After waiting so long helping the customers should be a priority. They were way overbooked. The only car available was $180 a day, smaller than the intermediate I booked ahead of time. Because I had an important event to attend I couldn’t do otherwise I end up spending $500.00+ which is absolutely criminal!! 5 times more than what I booked. I will never use HERTZ again for the rest of my life. Absolutely awful
