Do not stay here! I was charged a smoking fee! And I do not smoke at all. And the guy who answered the phone was rude and a smart Alec. Please stay away.

With all the construction and traffic no place is truly an ideal location unless it’s in the country, we always enjoy our visits at the Hampton

While I am not sure it is the safest location, this hotel accommodated us after a horrific airbnb experience that made us have to vacate. They took our luggage and held it until our room was ready and every person we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was SO clean and the included breakfast was an added bonus we did not know we were getting. We had a great experience staying here!

A total of about 12 families (including my mother and my family/myself) were relocated to Hampton Inn and Suites (8605 E R L Thornton Fwy) from the late evening of August 8, 2024 through checkout time the morning of August 16, 2024. The night of check-in was handled very professionally by the melanin male front desk staff, as each family (10 of the 12) signed their sheets and received their parking tag (were applicable) for their cars. Later that evening there was an issue with a family(ies) with pets...it's my understanding that the situation was also handled with respect and professionalism.
My Mom was one of two families that cheated in on Friday, August 9, 2024. Although the front desk staff was having multiple problems with the company payment...they remained patient, communicated well with the families, and once the issue cleared everyone involved was above satisfied.
Mr. Jerry Brown, Ms. LaTonya, the other two gentlemen (who worked the front counter), the young lady of latine heritage, the ladies that prepared the complimentary breakfast (daily), the ladies who cleaned the rooms (floors 3 & 4), the ladies who cleaned the laundry, as well as the ladies who cleaned the lobby and other accessable area BRAVO...EXCELLENT, EXCELLENTE JOB!!!
THANK YOU ALL!You all went above and beyond to accommodate and make our stay as STRESS FREE and COMFORTABLE as humans possible. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book this hotel for a work conference that was being held in downtown Dallas. Hilton claims to have a “digital key” so you can avoid the front desk, however at this hotel you have to go to the front desk so they can approve your digital key. Defeats the purpose of you ask me. Secondly I stayed 5nights and everytime I arrived to end the day, the front counter person was never there. There was no greeting, with the exception of one staff member (I didn’t catch her name).
My experience when it came to the room, it was very cleaned and organized. I will say the room I had, was very dimmed and dark unless you had the window shade open. The desk lamp did not work. And the TV appeared to be tilted and unable to remain flat.
When it came to the bathroom, the shower was super hot water. Without realizing it the first night, I burned my foot which was left red due to how hot the water was. After a few adjustment it was bearable, so because of turning the knob all the way to hot. Let’s not get started on the bathroom sink. The water is so close to the edge that while washing hands, water is bound to get on the counter tops. Washing hands and such was a bit difficult due to the closeness, I have included a picture of what I mean.
The hotel is near the i30 which can be busy. However I was in the back and unable to hear the traffic. I will say though because I was in the back, I definitely heard the trash man picking up the dumpster at 430am. This was definitely not delightful.
The location of the hotel I would say, would be in the ghetto area. It is easy access to the highway. Don’t forget, they do charge $5 a night for parking. Which was a downside since I did not fully read the description. So you are aware they do charge to park on the property.
Overall my stay was ok. This hotel would definitely be on the list of not staying again unless absolutely needing to.
Nearby activities: There are a ton of food places nearby. There is also a near by Walmart, although that Walmart is pretty much trash.
Safety: This hotel is in the ghetto part of Dallas. At least that’s how I felt.
Noteworthy details: There is a $5 a night parking that you will be charged for.

Rooms were dusty. Got a sore throat from all the dust triggering my allergies. Towels had stains. The front desk guy is RUDE, repeatedly got pet fees wrong. It went from almost $90 to 60ish and back up to 75. Very unprofessional. When I brought up how it was unprofessional to give the wrong prices repeatedly, he told me to stay calm, even tho I was. I saw him repeatedly be rude to women and hispanics. The location is near a freeway, so good luck walking anywhere. High crime area where cars are repeatedly broken into. Management is aware and does not warn anyone. The ice machines smell of mildew. The water pressure is very low and you can see Teflon tape where they tried to poorly fix it. It's a health hazard.
Rooms: Dirty. Dusty AC triggers allergies and stained towels. Ice machine that smells like mildew. Water pressure is low
Nearby activities: Walmart
Safety: Cars are repeatedly broken into, management is aware and does not care
Walkability: Near a freeway, I can't walk anywhere, really.
Noteworthy details: Rude front desk guy

I do Uber part-time. Tonight, I dropped off two guests at this hotel and I went inside to use the restroom in the lobby only to find it locked and requiring key card access. I explained calmly to the front desk agent that I was an Uber driver who really had to use the restroom and asked politely for the key. The Indian man behind the counter simply told me it was only for guests and that they would have to let me in. I said I can't exactly go upstairs and ask them to buzz me into the bathroom, I told him I am a Diamond member and I was just asking for a favor because I really had to pee. He accused me of being rude (I was calm, I just really had to pee!). In the end, he told me to get lost.
I often have a choice between Hilton and Marriott properties when I travel for business and I stay at hotels almost 100 nights a year. If this is how I am going to be treated over a simple, basic biological need, then I will be choosing Marriott every time. Shame on this hotel.

This place is simply incredible, but incredibly unpleasant, despite looking at the terrible reviews I took the risk of coming to this place, but don't take a couple of minutes to disappoint me, if you don't want to have a bad time go somewhere else other than this

Been in my room for four nights now they’re telling me that they never received payment. Show them my bank statement from Bank of America showing where took the money off made me go put more money in my account and double pay on top of that came in from work late dirty guy at office screamed at me telling me that I’m not supposed to be there very rude. It says that this is 100% satisfaction guarantee hotel and I’m 100% not happy.

We have stayed in several hotels and this is one of the best we have been in. All the staff are super friendly. Very accommodating for our children as well. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning has been delicious. Price was great as well. Easy to get to everything we needed for our travel. We have zero complaints about our stay here!
