Jason at El Camino Transmissions deserves 100 stars!!! I phoned for a quote on getting the recommended 45k mile transmission fluid changed on my Silverado, and Jason indicated that if I wasn't having issues, it wasn't necessary and was in fact not recommended since the fluid does not go bad and could affect the mechanics if changed. I may not be articulating that properly, but the point is, he saved me apx. $400 and the pain of dropping off the vehicle. Thank you Jason for your honesty and professionalism!!!

Bad experience, I fixed a transmission and they supposedly gave me a new clutch and after 6 months it was ruined... they gave me a poor quality clutch.I called and they were angry just because of the complaint... I decided to change the clutch at a prestigious dealer...The truth is that I am very upset with approximately $1,000 thrown away in the trash.I didn't want to return for the warranty because I know it's a waste of time and they weren't going to respond to me.Bad experience, I fixed a transmission and they supposedly gave me a new clutch and after 6 months it was ruined... they gave me a poor quality clutch.I called and they were angry just because of the complaint... I was a little worried because the shop looks a little scary with all the vehicles, bars and over growth. But the employees and manager were so kind and helpful. I noticed how they cared to listen to not just my concerns, but spent time talking with another customer. Their kindness and extra time spent with customers speaks volumes. The manager said they could not find anything that needed to be fixed, but then specially went with me on a drive after another employee had already test driven it. He spent time driving it and talking with me about what I had been concerned about. He educated me about how problems occur and how to see if the noise being made is from the transmission. They charged me nothing for the time they spent with me and didn’t try to fix something that wasn’t wrong just to pacify me or something. And they saw me right away when I came. The other shop I called with good ratings wanted me to drop off the vehicle and said it would take 24 hours before they got to it and 2 weeks if there was anything that needed to be fixed. I had cried after that phone call, because I am single with no other vehicle or family in the state. This was such a blessing to me. I can’t say how grateful just to know I am not damaging this vehicle when I drive it. There still maybe something electrical going on, but this was so helpful.Service: Transmission

My check engine light came on and auto zone wasn't able to provide much help besides that I might need to replace the transmission. I drove over to El Camino and Jason was clearly slammed, but still took the time to run the engine error reader to help me out. Super appreciative of his time that day which ultimately helped me resolve the issue without needing his services - it wasn't the transmission and his advice saved me a lot of money. I will be back should I ever run into another issue - thank you Jason for your honesty & help!

Fixed my problem quickly and gave solutions to fix the problem I was encountering. Would return if needed and will be referring people here if need transmission work.

I brought in my 1997 chevy 1500. Jason treated me well and gave me a real good explanation as to what was going on. They were very punctual with the time frame they told me. They stand behind firmly on their warranty so you can feel secure knowing your doing business with them.
