Awful customer service today, 10/26/24, 4pm, in the shoe department. African American guy in orange shirt was helpful to every person in the place. He wasn’t around until I had been ignored for quite a while. He was helping everyone all at once. Getting multiple shoes at one time for multiple people. Give him a raise.
Asian American kid tried his best not to make eye contact when I was clearly waiting for someone to help me. Helping 1 person only and then disappearing. No greeting. No checking on customers. For a long time. Hispanic American buff dude avoided all customers at all costs. No eye contact. Hiding out of sight. Leaving the area entirely. Wow.
Sharing in hopes of managers doing something about it. Please do better.

This morning, I have a very bad experience in your store, I was told by your supervisor and others employees that they are not payed for the customer service. The customer has not the right to ask to employees what they are looking for.
They told me that I am a Dash door. I told them that the article is for my son. You need to educate your workforce that customer service pays their salaries.

Terrible customer service. I spent $160 on a pair of shoes & three days later, a whole rips in them from normal wear. I try to take them back but they won’t give me a refund because they aren’t “sellable.” Just find the shoes you like and buy them at Nordstrom where they have better customer service.

They told me a shoe was not in stock when the display is in the size needed. Not sure how you can have only one shoe of a pair.

This review is specifically for the golf department. I didn't catch the name of the guy who was working it today, but he has terrible customer service skills. Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but he was rude to my husband on the phone and made it seem like an issue that he couldn't pick up his golf club until Thursday since he is out of town. Since it seemed like such an issue, I went to get it for him. He didn't ask for any support for the order, barely greeted me and just handed it to me without a word. I didn't even know if I had the right club since it wasn't labeled. Again, perhaps he was just having a bad day, but if this is his norm, he shouldn't be working a customer service job or should receive some training.

Really like a dog. It seems like everything is for sale.
There are many different types of footwear (Nike, Asics, Hoka, On, etc.)
However, there are not many responding staff.

I took too long to leave this review so unfortunately I can't remember the young African American man's name who was working in the shoe section the recent morning I visited. He was patient and went back to search for my size even though the inventory showed they didn't have it. He was able to locate a pair and I greatly appreciated his effort!

Had the best experience today in the shoe department! The representative Dom was exceptional! I rarely shop at Dick’s for shoes, but there was a specific shoe I was looking for and came here just to find it. About 30 seconds into browsing, we were immediately greeted by 2 representatives. Shortly afterwards, Dom inquired about what I was searching for. The shoe wasn’t on the floor, but after showing him the picture on my phone he looked it up and found it in the back. Needless to say from his engaging energy and eagerness to assist us, we ended up purchasing a 2nd pair. I was reluctant to giving Dick’s a try from the negative reviews, but I’m happy I didn’t let that stop me. Dom was absolutely amazing!

I’d put zero stars if I could. If you’re looking to purchase shoes or equipment with the potential of returning, avoid this store at all costs. Once you walk out, there is a ZERO tolerance return policy - regardless of what they might say when you check out.. even if what you purchased is defective or doesn’t fit. Go to another store or order online from the manufacturer. Also, their customer service is horrific. You’ve been warned?
