2+ hours to patch a tire. Had appointment at 12:15, left Costco at 2:30. What’s the point of making an appointment if a 10 minute job takes 2 hours?
Good service otherwise and the repair was free under my warranty. I see a lot of similar complaints here too so next time I’ll probably just take it to a local shop and spend $20 to save the time.

Two bad experiences in one week at this Costco Auto center. I was sold the wrong battery for my car and had to return it for the correct one. I got the car running with the new battery and came in for a warranty tire rotation, where I was told my warranty would not be honored if I didn’t remove hub spacers that were installed for alignment purposes. I’m going to reach out to corporate support to seek clarification and tell them about my experience.

Costco is great at a lot of things. But tires is just not one of them.
Everytime i go with an appointment or without one it’s a minimum 2 hour ordeal. Today, i literally saw my car sit idle finished in the bay for 40 mins. This is totally unexpectable.

Terrible service. Disgusting organization of work! It took a lot of time to buy and replace the battery on the car, despite the fact that I changed the battery myself! The employees are constantly distracted, usually no more than one person at the counter, a lot of time is spent talking on the phone and with other employees. I knew and said what kind of battery I needed. But in order to buy a battery for a car, you need to stand in the general queue, despite the fact that the batteries are nearby on the counter. The time for purchase and return takes a few minutes, but you need to wait in the general queue, and after installation, you need to stand in the general queue again again!!! to return the old battery!!! The Cesar employee is rude and unfriendly. I do not recommend this service. Buying a battery elsewhere will significantly save your time!

Friendly people but to have to wait 1 to 1-1//2 hours for a tire rotation is insane!
I needed new tires for my other car and ended purchasing them at Discount Tire because they match EVERY THING Costco offers plus some and NO waiting! Sorry, Costco, I’m a fan, but not to out myself through that torture.

I visited the Costco Tire center on May 10, 2024, because there was a bubble in my front right tire. Since I had bought all four tires from Costco and they were still under warranty, I was confident that they would replace the tire. I spoke with "John" at the tire center, and he inquired about whether I had been adhering to the tire rotation schedule, which is part of the warranty.I informed him that I had, although not always at Costco. Sometimes I had the rotations done at the car dealership where I get my oil changed.
Despite having driven just over 50,000 miles, the Michelin tire I had was guaranteed for 85,000 miles. According to Costco's policy, I needed to show them 50,000 divided by 7 (the miles required before rotation), which is around 7 rotations. They requested that I provide them with seven receipts for tire rotations. However, expecting customers to carry around numerous invoices from their dealership seems unreasonable. I presented a couple of receipts from my dealership, but they insisted on at least six or more. Consequently, they declined to honor the warranty and asked me to buy 4 more Michelin tires with them. I walked out and bought all four Michelin tires from Discount tires.
I'm disappointed with the declining service standards at Costco and have decided to cancel my executive membership. I'll also be sharing my negative experience with friends and family regarding the poor service at the Dallas Costco Tire center and the low standards set by Costco for their Tire and wheel center.

I had a tire leaking air, and everything was closed so I called Costco tire center ahead of time to see if they could get me in to do a quick patch repair. A gentleman on the phone told me to come before 8:15 and they could help me out. I got there at 8:07 to ask if they could help. I encountered a short Hispanic gentleman, buzz cut hair, with multiple tattoos on his forearm, noticeably: a terribly done, sword tattoo in color. He was super condescending, telling me I was lying because, in his words, and I quote: “NOBODY TOLD YOU ON THE PHONE WE WOULD HELP YOU, WE CLOSE AT 8:30, NO WAY! IM NOT PATCHING UP YOUR TIRE, I HAVE DINNER WITH MY BOYFRIEND TONIGHT!!”Thankfully the gentleman I spoke to on the phone (I didn’t get his name but he was a super chill guy, younger, caucasian, taller, with curly hair) he came over and told the short guy to calm down and with a cherry red face: the short guy scolded him by saying, “you told him we would help him on the phone?!” And stormed off in a grumpy fit of rage.I thought that experience with the short guy was pretty weird to be honest, and very unprofessional. The short guy needs to have empathy for clients in an emergency and could use some customer service skills from the younger guy. If you can’t do something, you don’t have to be rude about it. A little kindness goes a long way.Much thanks to the younger gentleman, If I wasn’t in a rush, I would’ve gotten both of their names to mention them here.

The only reason I give 2 stars is because everyone seems nice. I have dealt with it all at this location and only continue to suffer through it because it’s close to my office. I have been to both Plano locations and the Rockwall location on many occasions and never had a problem. At this location, I’ve had stripped locking lug nuts, broken wheel studs, and a tire sensor that happened to have a battery die at precisely the time the tire was changed. I was assured that this is a very common coincidence, and after I made a fuss about the lug nuts, wheel studs, the sensors and the ten plus hours I spent in this location waiting to get the tires rotated (I’m not even mentioning the time and money to fix the studs and replace lug nuts), they replaced the sensor at no charge. I should mention that the reason the wheel locks and studs were problematic, was that they were overtorqued by Costco, and because it was another location, this location would not cover the costs of any repair. I would have had to file paperwork with the other store, and add even more time spent, which in the end is very difficult with my job and two young children.Today, I went in for a scheduled rotation and waited to check in, waited an hour and a half for the work, and again to get my keys for a vehicle that was still in the bay, so I waited for it to be pulled out. Right now, I can’t justify getting another set of tires from her, even if the price is right. I just end up spending too much time to get routine maintenance done. I see no reason to schedule a time for rotation if I’m going to wait 1.5 hours anyways. I might as well Uber back to work and drop it off as a walk in.

If these guys at this particular location can improve on their time, they would be better than "ok". I stayed in line for about 10mins waiting to get serviced at their desk. And once I finally got to speak with someone, I did have to deal with a discrepancy because the actually guy I worked with over the phone was out, and documentation for my service wasn't able to be viewed from whatever platform the guy in front of me was looking at.Overall, it finally got resolved, but God knows if they could possibly have a receptionist more accessible at this already busy location, that may help with time efficiency a whole lot!

I wanted to give a review for the wine department. Today I went in looking for a specific wine which was sold out. The help selecting alternative bottles was outstanding! Two different gentlemen helped me and I would up with 6 bottles instead of 1
