We specifically booked a fuel efficient vehicle, and when we arrived at our destination, we were given a Grand Cherokee jeep. We were also asked if we want to have a toll pass instead of having to pay the tolls, but were never told the ridiculous price of getting one! We’re not happy with our experience with Budget rental car!

The wait time in line toget to the counter was over an hour. When I got to an agent she took my info and then I had to wait another 20mins for her to find the keys to a car. When I got to the car the battery was dead. The van had "dead 12/2" written on it. So I returned inside and told the only agent there. She called and got me a different car. This car had low tire pressure, a wheel wobble, a turn signal was out with flashing indication in the dash, and the gas gauge was not full. This car was in the avis side of the garage. My reservation had been scheduled days ahead of time. They were still scraping the bottom of the barrel to get me a vehicle

Initially was given a car whose driver seat could not be adjusted up, down or forward and back. Counter staff was quick to change it to another car that worked out perfectly for me.So a good experience for me.

Very bad experience with budget. They released a vehicle with 2 back tires that were bald up with no tread on it. Drove the vehicle with new issue until we got into Kansas when it started raining. The vehicle kept hydroplaning and kept wanting to go out of control. Keep in mind that 3 lives were at risk at this point. Pulled over to the side of the highway just to find out budget had released a vehicle with 2 bald up tires. Called roadside assistance and they were able to tow the vehicle and Uber us to budget the nearest airport to get another vehicle. Had to wait another 2 hours before they released a new vehicle to us because the tow truck took 2 hours to get to its destination before they can release it to us. We wasted 5-6 hours on our 1.5 day trip from Dallas to Kansas. We returned the vehicle to DFW Airport Budget on our final day 10/29/23. 3-4 days later I get a message stating that the returned vehicle was not located. Today is 11/7/23 and still no update. I have not receive my deposit as well. This is very unacceptable and frustrating. I pray and hope no one deal with this type of situation.

DFW pick up location is one of the worst location ever. Twice there have been long lines, not enough cars, poor customer service. Yelling at customers explaining the process to speed up transactions for them. No discounts for waiting hours not minutes to pick your vehicle up. Only for one day. Same price for two days. Nightmare. Will not use them again! Be ⚠️ warned this will not change, because management do not care!!

2 hour wait to pick up confirmed paid reservation upcharged $198 additional dollars. Given a filthy car because they were running out of cars and didn't even have enough to give to the reservations that were already made and paid. Ignorant employees who speak with no education and no customer service whatsoever. Booked through Spirit Airlines never ever again. Damaged car they didn't want to notate at the gate on pickup. Took my own photos. Car was filthy because they had run out of cars, they were taking the returns filling them with gas and handing them right back out just to get rid of the 2-hour wait of people in line.

Smooth pickup and return process. Received a complimentary upgrade to a larger vehicle due to availability of compact cars. Vehicle interior was exceptionally clean and operated with no issues. Shuttles between the terminal(s) and the Rental Car Center arrived within 5 minutes of stepping outside. If you fill up at the fuel station nearest the airport, prepare to pay an additional $.25/gallon more than other pumps around town.

Do NOT use budget @ DFW. Waited almost 3 hours in a massive line to be able to check in with our reservation. We’ve used this rental place multiple times and have always had issues with no gas in the cars, cracks in the windshield and dents all over the car. We will not be using budget going forward. TERRIBLE!

Old vehicle with 42000+ miles on the clock. Interior still had rubbish and windows were filthy inside. Low tire pressure warnings on day two of rental. Ran out of screen wash the following day so it unlikely either were checked. Oil change light was on from start of rental but told its OK to continue. Vehicle was supposed to be Group W - Ford Edge or similar, supplied vehicle (dodge journey) was more like a people carrier. After a ten hour flight and almost 2 hours to get through US customs, you just want to get to your hotel and don't see all the issues until later.

The experience at Budget car rental DFW was horrible. I waited in line over a hour and a half still didn’t get my RESERVED vehicle, I had to pay for an Uber to my engagement in Grand Prairie and another Uber afterwards back to budget to wait 2 hours and 45 mins in line then they gave me an suv instead of the car I requested. Terrible terrible service. ??

Don’t ever deal with them! Pay more for better service. I asked for a Camry and got a dirty stained Toyota Corolla with stains all over. After a hr and a half they brought me a truck no then a Mustang EV that wasn’t even programmed! Also didn’t give me any charging equipment. The city I was in had very few stations and they needed you to have your own charging cables. After 2 days the local college let me use theirs and it took 16hrs. She assured me I would be ok and that I didn’t have to charge it when I came back. LIES!!!! Just got an extra bill for 90$ for not having it fully charged up! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!! I would leave no stars if I could. I could handle a lot but that isn’t fair. And to top it off their automated service hangs up on you when you try to call them. Even for emergency road side assistance. I have never had service this bad before!!!

Waited 3 hours for a rental car on September 13, 2023. They did not have enough staff working knowing that there was going to be an influx of customers in Dallas for a large event. I booked months in advance and paid in full expecting to receive a decent vehicle when I arrived as well. I received a dirty, cigarette smelling vehicle. I will not be renting from this company in the future!!

My rental was a 2023 Nissan Rogue. After I left the rental company in Dallas and was halfway on my trip the oil light for service and maintenance came on. The car felt like it was swerving on the freeway when I was going like 75 miles per hour. Pulled into a gas station n saw that all four tires were almost bald. Car only had 14,000 miles on it. When I got to my destination in Milwaukee I called CS and was told to take my car in for a exchange at the Milwaukee airport (which was another hassle). I was told my a Budget worker there that it is my responsibility to check all the maintenance stuff on the car. I was like why is it my job when I am paying for it already (the rental). I should be expecting a solid n up to date vehicle and not one with issues. I told that individual he was wrong n if Budget keeps acting like this they will lose my business and others too. I did not even get a discount or anything take off on my rental (charge). I spent 2 unnecessary hours of my trip doing something that I should not of have to do in the first place. Why do Budget blame the customer when they are suppose to be checking their vehicles. I have pictures to show all the issues. Also got charge for gas on my credit card when I return the vehicle will a full tank (picture to show proof). I will be disputing this if Budget does not take the charge off. I would not recommend Budget to anyone at the moment because of poor customer service, charging for unnecessary stuff (gas), vehicle issues, blaming the customer, and being rude (workers need to understand they are in business of customer service) and they need to be as helpful and thorough. Please see pics (issues with the original vehicle) even had writing on car that said hard hold but was rented out. Last pic shows car with full tank when dropped off. This is the worst experience I had with Budget. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

The associates are lovely and accommodating at DFW however the car selection is atrocious , to pay for a premium SUV and there were only 2 on the lot and both of them had multiple flat tires with nails in them, it look a bit to find the one rental from Avis that was ok but not what I wanted. I was told I could exchange the vehicle at the lovefield location and that experience was a NIGHTMARE. The associates were rude and unwilling to help, also not knowledgeable of your vehicles listed in premium SUV class. It was 102 degrees and the office was outdoors, they took no initiative to make the process quick, the first truck I was told to walk to had no keys ; I waited 30 mins for them to look for them and they were never found, then they sent me over to another suburban SUV that had 9percent oil life and a missing rear seatbelt ( there was a hole in the roof of the car where it should’ve been) total and complete disaster, horrendous customer service. I spent my afternoon driving back and forth from DFW to lovefield TWICE based on inaccurate information customer service told me and then had to drive to a third location in Plano. I spent 6 hours of my time doing this. Your Plano location saved it, they were quick efficient and accommodating and the vehicle was immaculate . Thank god . Do better Budget , this was a horrible stressful experience

I had a less than adequate experience with budget recently. I traveled to Dallas for a funeral and made my way to the budget rental car center at DFW once my plane landed. The line was long, no problem. The rep I worked with at the counter was very pleasant and nice. She promptly assigned me a vehicle. After loading the car with my luggage I turned it on to find the TPMS light on, the PSI in one of the tires was 10 below the others. So I went back in and explained the issue and the same rep was again super nice and reassigned me to another car. This car had dents all over and the seats were stained and filthy. I was exhausted from flying and after having to stand in line twice for a car at this point. There’s hardly anyone available or willing to help you in the lot. So I took the car and drove to my destination. The car I ended up with had dated technology, not even current enough to display a map on the screen. If you’ve ever been to Dallas, you can probably imagine how difficult it is to navigate the highways in Texas without this. I can’t express how disappointed I was with the cars that were presented to me even with a reservation and car class I selected. I have major concerns that there are no safety or quality checks and they just herd people into cars regardless. I don’t think I’ll rent from Budget ever again.
