The best investment we made was working with Breyer's Canine Academy. With our 85 pound German Shepherd we had attended other reactive dog training courses, but made little headway. I learned some tricks, but we still could not get within 75 yards of another dog without our dog reacting. After working with Breyers we can now pass other dogs with ease along the Katy trail, her meet and greet manners are impeccable, and she keeps HERSELF in control if we come around a corner and unexpectedly end up nose to nose with another dog. The difference is amazing. It is now a joy to walk our dog around other dogs and I cannot tell you the awed smiles we see when we do a side-step and there is our dog mimicking our very step without taking her eyes off of us. Three cheers for Breyers' Canine Academy!!!

Breyer’s worked wonders training our new dog. We’ve referred him to all our friends. We’ve had several dogs over the years and no ones approach and behavior based training comes close to the incredible results we’ve seen with Penny and the Breyer’s Canine Academy. Strongly recommend to anyone considering his program.

Breyers was recommended by a friend of ours who is nationally recognized in the dog training world. After meeting Breyers and working with him over the last several years, I can appreciate why our friend so highly recommended him. Breyers has an amazing sense of kindness and intuition to truly connect with his canine clients... and the humans as well. He trained our young crazy Doberman to harness his intrinsic energy and intelligence to become the amazing family dog that he is. The team are a joy to work with: professional, flexible, adaptive, and creative. Our dog LOVES working with Breyers and is excited and happy about each appointment. Breyers and team have been an amazing source of guidance and wisdom for our family's Best Friend and I know they will for yours as well.

Working with Breyers Academy was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I know that sounds bold but it’s true and this is why.
I work from home so a calm dog is essential to productivity. Last year, my 5 year old cavachon, Jenson, developed severe reactivity and started barking at every guest and every noise (garbage trucks, next door voices, doorbells on TV shows, etc). I found Breyers Academy based on their exceptional Yelp reviews and success stories. I wanted to hire them right away but their rate is an investment so I tried a $300 video series first. I thought “I’m committed to this and want to be financially smart, I can make a video course work.” Of course, it did nothing.
After wasting that time/money and listening to a couple more months of barking, I hired Breyers like I should have from the start. It was a joy to watch Jenson learn and perform the training activities, but I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure how the exercises were actually going to fix his barking since they centered around other obedience behaviors. Well, it became clear near the end of the training program: seemingly overnight, Jenson was a totally different dog. The training focused him, rewired him, and reversed his reactivity!
Not only did I get my calm, quiet dog back, but Breyers and the other trainers in the academy are just a pleasure to be around and their ability to actively tailor exercises to how a dog is responding is wildly impressive. After seeing how personalized their approach is, it’s funny that I once thought videos would work.
When I got a second dog this year, I hired Breyers early at the first signs of reactivity. He rewired her reactivity just as successfully. Neither dog cares about squirrels anymore and they’re so much calmer and happier. And so am I!
I know I’m just some person in the reviews section, but if you aren’t enjoying life with your dog because of behavioral issues, there is no other trainer to consider: Breyers is it.

Start with Breyers. He is the dog whisperer of Dallas!
Breyers trained our two dogs. Before working with Breyers, we tried group classes, as well as board and train programs, with little to no success. One dog, now 3 years old, remained highly leash reactive to other dogs until Breyers worked his magic.
Although I was hesitant at first, due to past misinformation and misrepresentation of the device, the use of an e-collar made all the difference. With very low stim, we were able to get both dogs to focus on me rather than other dogs and distractions. Walks are a breeze, now that my dogs are less stressed and look to me for leadership.
Breyers addressed each of our dogs strengths and weaknesses, individually, making it possible to train these two dogs effectively even at opposite stages in life. This was very unlike the group training environment I had experienced before, where every dog is expected to achieve the same goals at the same class. Breyers was patient with both me and my slower-to-learn, older dog. And, unlike board and train programs, which only give you an hour overview of what the dog has learned, once training was complete with our dogs each session, Breyers spent equal time and attention training me (the owner). This empowered me to continue the training and prevented confusion after Breyers left.
I cannot speak highly enough of Breyers training methods and skill. His character is above reproach. He was always professional and works rain, snow, or shine. Thank you, Breyers!

LOVE Breyers' approach. With consistency and Breyers' guidance, my puppy mill rescue dog is much more focused, learning to overcome anxiety around the car, behaves around guests, walks better on the leash, and is becoming such a happy, well-adjusted boy.

Breyers has been a pleasure to work with. He is accommodating and tailors his training to whatever you and your dog’s needs are. In my case, my needs were a method for handling my dog’s reactivity while living in an apartment where encounters with other people’s dogs were inevitable. Although I still have a lot of work to do, Breyers gave me the tools that I need to eventually have a completely stress free walk with my dog in whatever environment we’re in. You get what you pay for and much more when you work with Breyers, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

Working with Breyers comes so easy and natural. He becomes apart of your family. Breyers takes the time to understand your dog and the goals that you have for the animal. He is extremely thorough and patient. If you are looking for the best experience for you and your animal, look no further.

We had a great experience with Breyers and wouldn't use anyone else! I did a lot of research online before selecting Breyers and chose him because his results were consistent with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments...and it amazed me that he taught the owners exactly what to do to achieve these same results with different dogs. I could also see that he clearly knew what he was doing and liked his calm demeanor. A lot of trainers fail at teaching the owners how to work with their own dogs, which is where the true training results come into play. We couldn't be happier with the results from his training program and highly recommend him to everyone we know.

Breyers is the best of the best. He really knows what he’s doing, and within a matter of a few weeks my dog was completely transformed. Aspen had major anxiety when going to the vet, to a point where he wouldn’t even walk into the building, and he would throw such a fit that they couldn’t even perform the tasks needed. Now he not only behaves at the vet, he also doesn’t pull on leash, listens to my commands, is well mannered with guests, and doesn’t get as anxious! If you’re considering Breyers to train your dog I highly recommend!

Our 5 lb Chihuahua seemed untrainable and very stressed when we brought another dog into our household. Our little Coco isn't a puppy and looked to be set in her ways until Breyers came along. He worked with her everyday and little by little he made progress. She is a changed dog and I'm forever grateful that Breyers was able to bring out her best traits and behaviors.

Anyone who can use a shock collar on a dog a) does not love dogs and b) doesn't know how to train dogs. Of COURSE pain works! I'm not impressed. Plus he ripped off a 72 yo woman (my client), charging 900 for 2 wks of so-called 'training.' The dog learned to sit and down. That's it. BTW she refused to use a shock collar on her dog. Maybe that's why he didn't get 'trained.' Thumbs down.

Bryers was absolutely amazing. If there were 100 stars I would give him 100. We tried two trainers before him who failed miserably. My dog's behavior was pretty crazy. He would jump up on us constantly and it was very difficult to take him out on a leash because he pulled so hard. My dog enjoyed working with Bryers and was always excited to see him. The end result was that we were able to do so much more with our dog and enjoy him without worrying about his being out of control. So happy with the results!
