I made an online appointment with Bank of America, 5500 Preston Road & Mockingbird, Dallas 75205. I needed to discuss several issues, but one was particularly important and time sensitive. I made an online appointment and received a confirmation from a call from an employee at that bank named Sean. Prior, I had connected to a BofA 800#-agent who had provided inadequate information to the time sensitive issue and I wanted to speak to someone locally, one on one, for better clarification. Once there, a female Teller who ultimately identified herself as a Bank Manager, wanted to know the details of my visit. I was hesitant to get into a personal list, but I gave her the time sensitive issue. She immediately cancelled my appointment and told me that they had no bank managers available for me. At that point, I let her know of the 800#-agent conversation that had already taken place with little result. The Teller/Bank Manager stood her ground and I understood: No customer service without bringing your purse to the table at 5500 Preston Road, Highland Park, Dallas 75205. I reminded her that I had a confirmed appointment. Her response was that I could use "their" phone to call the 800 number (again) myself. Her dismissiveness, condescension, and rudeness I will not forget.
I have had the opportunity to read other like critiques counting the numerous 1Star reviews on this specific Bank of America at 5500 Preston Road, Highland Park, Dallas, 75205.
After my experience there, I am adding another another 1Star!
Would be less if the option were available.

This is sad because this was one the first banks I had an account at. So sad to see things have gone back for Mr and Mrs America

Writing a review is a must after my horrible experience at this branch. I visited the branch on May 8th around 10am. I was assisted by a young African American “small business advisor” who displayed the most disgraceful and unprofessional behavior that I had ever witnessed. He didn’t work for the department that could help me yet he insisted on helping me. When he couldn’t retrieve the right information to help me he decided to put on a performance that was one for the books. As I was in his office his demeanor suddenly changed. He started shifting in his chair and pumping his chest at me. I assume because he couldn’t see an account which is a private account from his end, he thought I was not a bank client and used it as an opportunity to disrespect me. He became aggressive and started raising his voice at me. He cockily told me that he couldn’t help me with his shoulders pumped up. I asked if he could direct me to someone who can or make helpful suggestion and he sharply said no without an explanation. It was evident that he got a smirk satisfaction out of denying me help when I made it clear that my situation was urgent and could easily be escalated to a legal case if the bank isn’t notified. The oddest part is the branch manager Shon was present in the office as he did all of this and did not intervene once. He stood there passively and allowed this advisor to misbehave. Shon had even left the room after witnessing this advisors aggression towards me, leaving me alone with the advisor. I got up to leave his office and requested to see his manager Shon and the rude advisor cut me off and said “he isn’t my manager!”. I left and the advisor followed me out of his office and the minute he stepped out of his office his demeanor changed. He lowered his voice and started pretending to be professional. It was the strangest thing to experience. I later got Shon’s card and it states that he is the branch manager so it’s clear this rude and child like advisor had no clue that Shon was the branch manager. Similar to how he didn’t know that I am a private client. This advisor is stupidly selective with when and who he disrespects and I suggest the branch investigates his outlandish behavior. This advisor’s behavior is shameful and gives a poor impression of BoA.

BOA is absolutely the worst customer service. You cannot call the bank at all! I was told they don’t answer the phone during working hours because they are busy with customers. I hold an account so am I not a customer? I can guarantee you they won’t answer the phone after business hours either. I have yet to receive good customer service in all the years I’ve banked with them.UPDATE - BOA responded … how will they answer the phone “when they can” if the BOA’s specific bank at 5500 Preston Rd, Dallas’ listed number on their own web site and on their emails to me has a “this number is disconnected” recording. Yes, I tripled checked the number I dialed. Same recording over 2 days. I don’t need a call center, I needed to talk to that particular bank.

I had an appointment scheduled at this branch today (5/16/22) at 9.30am. I informed the teller about the appointment as soon as I entered the branch. It 10am now and I am still waiting for my turn. Branch Manager (Chris) is extremely rude. Overall, it was an awful experience. Never going back to this branch again.

Ordered foreign currency for a upcoming trip to be delivered to this branch. When I arrived, I went straight to the front reception desk where I was rudely told to wait although no one was there. Then eventually someone else came over and asked me what I needed. He directed me to the teller. So I waited in line for the teller. Who told me that one of the front desk personnel had to open the vault to get my order. So again, I had to wait for them to free up enough time to come help get the order. Eventually a stack of orders was delivered to the teller so again I had to wait. Then I was asked to sign for delivery and the teller was not going to count out the amounts. So I had to open the envelop myself and count out the currencies. Not a nice experience so I will go back to using the branch that is a little further away but at least they have some customer service. Side note: I asked for only large bills and received all my GBP in small bills. So going to love traveling around with a huge stack of small bills.

I went to deposit money and the ATM machine had an error. And all my money was taken and it only counted 300.00 but I deposited more than that. The ATM's don't work well. They are so annoying. ????

Always a terrible experience here. Besides Bank Of America being a terrible bank, this branch is probably the worst. Always long lines, atms that will take your debit cards, and rude cashiers.
I suggest just banking with someone else!

Worst bank in the history of banks. After 10AM on a Monday and the drive thru is closed. The teller inside is yelling at an older gentleman telling him he’s wrong. The line is 15 deep with only two people working...

This location deserves no stars! As a real estate investor of more than 10 years, I deal with multiple banks for purchasing and refinancing purposes. This location had the worse customer service I've ever experienced in a bank. It was all about their laziness to provide customer service.
