Great alternative the big box stores and staff very helpful and checkout very friendly ! Nice to have them in the neighborhood. They are super helpful too if you need help with loading.

Have been looking for some place to sharpen my knifes while I wait for a while. The mall guy has been super busy the last few years and always says next day. I was surprised to see Ace hardware pop up my Google search. Hondo did an excellent job. This place will have a repeat customer for sure.

Whenever I go to an Ace I immediately regret ever going to a big box place. Lucky for me, this location is close to my house and they always have the exact thing I need. Best part is there’s actually people there that know things and can help. Rare find

Bought 5 gallon bucket of Kiltz primer, 4 gallons of BM ceiling paint, 1 gallon of semi glass BM paint and a 5 gallon bucket of Regal BM paint. To finish the project I needed one more gallon so I had to go back. Somehow ended up ordering the wrong sheen. Right color and wrong sheen. Honest mistake
Went back to change that 1 gallon and they refused to provide any help after spending close to $1k in paint with them. Too my business to Texas Paint and wallpaper 10min down road. They have BM and way better service than Ace store provided.
Response to owner: It's the right store. Just because I don't give you my phone number every time I shop, doesn't mean I don't go there. Check your transaction history for yesterday (2/6/25) at 5:28pm. You'll see I bought 1 gallon of paint, 2 color samples and Pringles for a total of $96.96. But I'm glad you have seen I've been going to your since 2024. I've been many times in between!

Disappointed with Ace today. I usually shop
here because the customer service is good and I would rather support a smaller company over Amazon/home Depot/Lowes even though their prices are generally higher.
My wife accidentally bought too many faucet covers before the latest freeze to help winterize a single mom’s house. When I attempted to return the unused equipment with a receipt the manager stated all sales for winterization equipment were final and they had signs stating that. That honestly feels like a policy designed to take advantage of customers during a freeze. Similar to price gouging gas. My wife also stated that she specifically asked the cashier if she could return items if we didn’t need them, and the cashier stated “Yes that won’t be a problem as long as you have the receipt.”
I had planned to buy additional items while there that would have cost more than the items I was attempting to return. Instead I just left.
I really wish that they would have chosen to prioritize the customer over a policy. Particularly one who has shopped there for years and is a rewards member. I doubt I will shop here again.
Hope they take this opportunity to make it right and retain a good reputation.

This is a fantastic business. The employees are particularly helpful. It is also set up in a nicely convenient location. I'm glad that I went in here to make a copy of a key recently.

Very friendly and very helpful! The staff helped me find the exact size and threading to replace a missing bolt for a TV stand I'm assembling at home. Definitely recommend Ace hardware in Richardson.

Always my go to place when I need expert help. Usually have the items that I need. Often price is higher, but Associates are always friendly and welcoming...I want this store to stay in business. Will I go back? You betcha!

Ace at Coit & Beltline refused a return or store credit with my original receipt because it was more than 30 days BUT NO WHERE ON THE RECEIPT DOES IT STATE TIMEFRAME FOR RETURNS!
