I've been going to Manny for about a year now, I have short hair with highlights/lowlights. I was hesitant to switch, contrary to the thought process, short hair is not easy to style. It had taken me years to find a good stylist and having to leave her due to moving was just hard. Manny has been amazing, I can show him a cut and he nails it and my color is great! I didn't initially like the way I was moved from him to another person for drying and washing, but I've come to appreciate it. It allows me to be in and out quickly, they have it down to a science.

I made an appointment for a simple balayoge with the receptionist for a spot with Manny a week before my appointment. All the reviews said he was great, but he did highlights not a balayoge on my head as sloppy and fast as he could and then kept handing me off to different "hairstylist", plus they left me in the dryer for an hour, I was burning up. Everything just kept going downhill. When they were washing and drying they were tearing at my hair, everyone was so aggressive.
I went back a few hours later to ask for a refund so I could get a real stylist to fix it and they just ended up putting "toner" on me and giving my hair more heat damage.

asked for a trim barber almost made me bold, not sure if there was a language barrier she spoke English. Spray paint they use absolutely smells, never coming back ever again.

Manny has been doing my hair for over 11 years now and every single time he absolutely nails it! He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He has a great team and they do a fantastic job! Fairly priced and quality work!

Manny, the owner is courteous and kind. They do reasonable quality work for a good price. Their services are quick and they use an assembly line approach to get it done as such. The down-side is, I have on occasion gotten the cut and style that the technician wanted me to have as opposed to the one I wanted. Otherwise, they’re pretty good.

I recently relocated to the area and was in search of a blow dry bar, but to my disappointment, there were none available. Consequently, I decided to give this place a try. Upon my visit, I requested a wash and style, emphasizing the importance of adding volume at the root and using a brush to curl the ends. However, my experience turned out to be a painful ordeal lasting 30 minutes.
The stylist assigned to me inexplicably sprayed my wet roots with what I suspect was hairspray, and proceeded to handle my hair roughly, literally ripping it from the root during the blow-drying process. Adding to the frustration, the person assigned to me spoke no English, making communication nearly impossible.
Furthermore, they used low-quality shampoo, applied conditioner directly to my roots rather than the ends, and seemed overly aggressive in their approach, causing the blow dryer attachment to repeatedly detach.
Upon returning home and attempting to rectify the situation, I noticed that my hair had lost its shine and felt stiff and dry at the roots. Furthermore, wherever I parted my hair, I found sections that had been tugged and were standing up. This experience ranks as the worst I’ve ever had at a salon, and I would strongly discourage anyone from visiting this establishment.

I’ve had Manny do my hair for many years, even before he opened Modern Salon on Mason Rd. He does a great job and I wouldn’t even think about going to anyone else!
