“When you drive almost 2 hrs to help your father repair the carport on his second house that he plans on giving to your chomo brother when he gets out of prison and y'all get in yet another argument as to why you refuse to have any contact with said chomo so you burn off as soon as you're finished and do your almost 2hrs drive home and realize you need a drink but don't have anything at home, Specs is right there to save the day with multiple locations on your route. Got in, found my cheap vodka and got TF out. Young lady at the register was extra nice. Don't drink and drive.”

“So glad I found this place. Best liquor store in the area by a long shot. Staff is always nice and happy to help with recommendations. Today they were having a vodka and limoncello tasting. They've had wine tastings other times. Great selection of liquor and a BUNCH of craft beer offerings. Not a whole lot of regular beer. But it's a liquor store, not a gas station. 10/10 would go again... and I do.”

“Omg just driving along and boom! Was that a Shiba coin I just saw? Stop… back up…Could not pass it up! Had to go in , Only to be greeted by whiskey the Shiba hound!!! Mind blown!!! Got some wine and very new place and very friendly, prices are great about average. But the dog was amazing!!! He followed me everywhere!! The owner said go doge coin! Go Shiba!! And I agreed! I will be back!!!”

“Cute little hidden gym that sits in the parking strip of an enormous shopping center near HEB located on 99 and Fry Rd. There are like a billion stores in this shopping strip, so this liquor store is not an easy find. I found this place on google maps when I searched for liquor stores near the area that I was in at the time, and it came up as the nearest one. When I arrived, I had issues locating it because of the numerous businesses that occupy this shopping strip. However, when I finally spotted it, I was a bit confused as to if they were closed, open, or out of business. The place was dark and I could barely see the open signage even though it was on. When I grew closer to the place, I was able to see the open signage much better. It was on, but very dimly lit, as if it was on its last leg, lol. The windows are darkly tinted which is why I was confused as to if the place was open for business or not. Because it's small and surrounded by so many different businesses, it is difficult to locate, especially with the dark tinted windows and dimly lit open signage.The owner should make some minor adjustments to make it easier for patrons to find this spot, by making it stand out more in some kind of way. Furthermore, customer service was great! The cashier was an extremely friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth person. When I entered the doors, from the rear of the store where she was occupied assisting a customer, she yelled, "Hello! Welcome! Come on in!" I appreciate happy people because it encourages me to spend more money, lol. We had a lovely chat during my visit and the entire experience was pleasant. She was knowledgeable about many of the items and made some great suggestions on a brand of Vodka that she suggested for me to try. The store was very neat, clean, and well organized. I did not have any issues locating the Crown Royal, which is what I purchased , by the way. I also purchased a mini-size Reyka vodka that was suggested by the cashier and it was pretty nice and smooth. I rated this establishment five stars for cleanliness, tidiness, great organization skills, and friendly and welcoming customer service.”

“Star Liquor is my favorite spot to go to since I moved here 6 years ago. Stephanie is always helpful when I need to find something whether it's a mixer or a liquor. The location is conveniently located. The prices are cheaper than most other liquor stores within a mile so I'm not getting taken to the cleaners whenever I spend money here. They are also family owned and operated so I'm more inclined to spend here than the big name places. They will always have my business.”
