Tuesday July 8th, have been waiting over an hour for order. No manager, no reason given. Had to ask worker who said there was a glitch in the system for order pickups from 4-5. Person next to me left after waiting 70 minutes. Terrible customer service.
July 16th, more problems with pick up orders.

I’ve been shopping at this Kroger lately out of convenience, and I have to say—it’s time I give credit where credit is due. Over my last couple of visits, I’ve really noticed a positive change. The customer service has been on point. Friendly staff, warm smiles, and a helpful attitude all around.
Even more impressive, the quality of the food seems to be improving too. I usually shop elsewhere for my fruits and veggies, but lately, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The produce looks fresher, no spoiled items, and no pesky fruit flies in sight. Love it!
The sales have been really good lately. Definitely helping stretch the grocery budget, which is always appreciated.
Big thank you to the team at Kroger Townlake. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed. Keep up the amazing work!

They had t bone steaks on sale with reward was 4.97 lb. There were several steaks on the 3nd cap with the sale price listed. Picked up one. Got home and was not 4.97. On the package it stated porterhouse instead of t bone. Why were these steaks mixed with the sale steaks. So deceiving. Will be returning them tomorrow.

The Best Grocery Store 😄🏪 of them all! Great place to shop for groceries and then a whole lot extra. One of the companies I can actually say I have worked for... exceptional customer service provided. Friendly 😁🙂 environment for customers. Thanks Kroger for being who you are!

I’m writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service at Kroger, particularly regarding the behavior I’ve encountered from both staff and management. Since moving to Texas in January, my fiancé and I have been frequenting this store, and I’m appalled by the continuous lack of customer service and professionalism, which has only worsened with each visit.
First, when I attempted to purchase alcohol, the cashier told me that I needed a Texas state ID, even though I showed my valid ID. He was not only misinformed about the store’s alcohol policy, but also seemed completely untrained to handle the situation. I asked to speak with a manager, but the manager I spoke to was just as dismissive and rude, answering my questions quickly and with little regard for clarity. As someone who’s new to Texas, I was expecting the warm hospitality the state is known for, but this interaction was the complete opposite.
On top of that, I’ve noticed disturbing behavior from the staff at the self-checkout. There’s a young lady who consistently avoids speaking to me and my fiancé, and it’s clear she treats us differently compared to other customers. She doesn't engage with us at all, and it feels like we’re being purposely ignored. This isn't just a one-time thing—it’s been happening consistently since we moved here, and it’s incredibly frustrating and upsetting.
And to make matters worse, during another transaction, a cashier had the audacity to ask if the food I was purchasing was for Instacart, implying that I couldn’t possibly be buying groceries for myself. It was an unnecessary and hurtful stereotype, and I shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of treatment when I’m just trying to make a purchase.
I’ve given this store multiple chances, but I can no longer overlook the continuous lack of professionalism, the untrained staff, and the blatant stereotyping. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and I hope Kroger takes the time to properly train its staff on customer service and treating all customers with respect, regardless of their background. This is not the level of service I expected, and it’s disappointing that this is what I’ve encountered in a place that’s supposed to be welcoming.

Pattern of Poor Treatment at Kroger on Barker Cypress & Tuckerton – A Warning for Shoppers
As a longtime customer of this Kroger location, I never expected to feel unwelcome in a store I’ve supported for years. However, after multiple concerning experiences—including the one that happened tonight around 8:15 PM—I can no longer ignore the pattern of treatment I’ve encountered here.
While shopping for dinner supplies, I was on the phone with my wife, selecting buns, when I noticed a man lingering uncomfortably close, pacing back and forth. His presence was unsettling, but I continued my shopping. After gathering my final item and heading to checkout, I suddenly remembered I had forgotten popcorn for our family movie night. As I turned to retrieve it, a group of young individuals near the front checkout began loudly calling out names, and at the same time, the same man from earlier reappeared—this time walking toward me more aggressively.
Having worked as a district manager for Fortune 500 companies with extensive experience in asset protection, I immediately recognized certain tactics. However, what I experienced tonight went beyond standard loss prevention practices—it felt like profiling.
This wasn’t my first concerning encounter at this location. On a previous visit, my wife and I were shopping for clothing for our grandson when we noticed the displayed price didn’t match what rang up at checkout. When we asked for a price check, the cashier became visibly upset, as if we were an inconvenience for simply questioning what was clearly posted. She called for verification, and once the price was approved, the adjustment was made without issue. However, the initial reaction made us feel as though we were being targeted—treated as if we were trying to get away with something rather than just asking for fairness.
I can’t say for certain why these experiences have happened, but I can’t ignore how they’ve made me feel. No one should have to wonder if they’re being treated differently because of their skin color. Shopping for basic necessities after a long workweek should not come with suspicion, discomfort, or the sense that you’re unwelcome in a store you’ve supported for years.
I share this experience as a warning to others, especially shoppers of color, to be mindful of how they are treated at this location. I refuse to continue supporting a business where I feel uncomfortable and disrespected, and I encourage others to consider where they spend their money. Dignity and respect should come standard with customer service—unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

If Kroger already has the membership card, What’s the point of digital coupons? The system is overly complicated. Wake up, make the shopping experience better. you’re losing hard to HEB. Shout out to the shorter black lady in self checkout, super nice. Get her a promotion.

The workers at this store are lovely— it’s the management that are terrible. Today, I witnessed a manager (I assume, she wore a red vest) named NORA bang on a WINDOW and yell at the cart runners that were outside to “GET TO WORK!” Through the window. The employees were literally working. Outside. In the January cold. She did this in front of the customers, and God, and everybody. How incredibly disgraceful.

Disgusting store. Men's restroom was awful. One of the sinks were broken, no paper towels, and literal feces on the wall and changing table in the stall.
