I had the best Dealings with water utilities. Each time I spoke to someone they were extremely nice and took care of whatever I called about.

Why does it say golf under the picture of the police vehicle? That's all I want to know but Yelp is making me add 23 more charcters to my review.

I've been living here for about a year now. I moved from Mexico to The Woodlands then to here. I really thought a small Texas town would be more friendly. The city does absolutely NOTHING to enhance the "community". 2 cops that seem pretty nice. Only entertainment is eating, getting drunk and meth. Oh and watching cars crash from drivers probably drunk or on meth. I have seen cars crash all by themselves...no one else on the road. Sometimes you can go to the Dollar General and watch the meth zombies or be amazed at some person buying a shopping cart full of cheap domestic beer. I was warned the park could be dangerous even in the daytime, lady told me she got robbed at gunpoint. Plenty of obnoxious loud trucks driving way too fast and reckless. Me and about 10 people watched a truck burn rubber and fishtail, almost losing control in front of a State Trooper. Trooper did nothing. Was he asleep? Even if so the screeching tires should have woken him/her. Maybe they were drunk or dead. We all looked at each other wondering why the Trooper didn't chase after the guy. Uncanny. Exercise, dog walking space is limited to your yard or maybe church lot. Cant walk down the street due to inebriated or meth mouth drivers. When I first moved here it was blistering hot day and i saw a woman walking down the road. I thought she was a damsel in distress. She was distressed alright, meth mouth. A mouth full of teeth that resemble broken beer bottles. She still walks around. Another time my dog and I watched a woman yelling profanities at no one and walking down the street. She seemed wasted. Other than that it's a pretty quiet town.

There really isn't much to this little Texas city apart from its very unusual name! If you blink when driving through, you might miss it lol! But it's worth a quick stop for some silly photos. The history is that, back in the early 1900s, there was some dispute over a chapel (but the details of the dispute vary). Apparently it got very heated and almost violent and a little boy supposedly said "I'm gonna cut around the corner and shoot through the bushes!" And it just stuck and became the name of the town haha! Anyway, a very quirky and brief stop...it lies between the North Houston suburbs and the Big Thicket National Preserve. Worth a quick photo op!
