“Back in 2019 I purchased a low mileage 1998 maroon F150 XLT with regular cab and 8 foot bed. Paid for it with cash in full at time of purchase. This truck has been awesome! It currently has 89,200 original miles on it. Zero engine / transmission issues or leaks. Ice cold AC and during the winter the heater will heat you out of the cab. It’s been a great truck and is a workhorse.
Upgrades I’ve added:
1. Front bumper push bar
2. 13 ton electric winch with 100 foot 3/8 inch metal cable hidden behind front bumper.
3. Headache rack with spotlight - control console for spotlight is mounted at base of dash down at floor vent.
4. Next to the spotlight controls is a round digital battery gauge that is more accurate than the factory battery gauge in the gauge cluster. It shows the battery voltage and warns me to turn on the engine if battery voltage gets low when I’m powering accessories etc.
5. Onboard air compressor with air tank. Compressor is mounted in engine compartment and air tank is mounted on frame of truck by rear passenger side wheel well. I have a 30 foot retractable air hose hidden under the truck that allows me to air up tires etc.. At base of dash in the cab is a PSI gauge with air compressor power switch.
6. Updated the factory radio with a Boss BV960NV Double DIN Bluetooth DVD GPS Navigation Car Stereo 6.2" Touchscreen
7. On the passenger side kick panel is a 3000 watt dc/ac 110/120 volt power inverter.”
