Dr. Oshman (ENT) was my daughter's surgeon for 3 procedures done all at once: tonsil removal, adenoids removed, and tubes inserted in both ears. He was perfect! I 100% trusted his skills as a surgeon, and he also had wonderful bedside manner. The intake nurse(I wish I had her name) was amazing. She noticed we had been sitting in the waiting room for a bit too long and people had been coming and going while we sat there. She spoke up and asked if we had checked in at the desk-and she pointed to which one. I said no: I thought all e needed to do was check in at the computer. She told me that we in fact needed to also check in at the desk as well. Being as though we were waiting to check in for a surgery appointment, I don't know how much longer we would have sat there waiting... not knowing about the desk check in. She was the nurse who took my daughters vitals and she was very patient with my daughter who was not cooperating very well out of fear. She thought the nurse was going to do the surgery and that it was going to hurt. Wonderful nurse! There was a patient advocate, I believe her name was Sheila who approached us and handed us her business card. She seemed very genuine and very professional. She said if we needed anything, call her. She said she worked for the patients, to ensure everyone has a positive experience. The day after the surgery- I wanted to call Sheila to Brag about the intake nurse and the surgeon, and also to let her know about the confusion with the full check in process- how we just sat there, waiting. Since the computer said we had finished check in, we thought we would just sit and wait. I wanted to tell her that the computer should be more clear in directing parents to the next step in the check in process: approach the window and check in with receptionist. I called Sheila's office number. No answer. Left message to please call me and let my phone number. There was also a cell number listed. I called. No answer. I left a message with my phone number. Sheila never called me back. That doesn't feel good. What was the point? It was all just for show. Sheila is paid to pretend to care about patient experiences, and their plan all worked out great until I actually dialed the phone numbers and left messages to return my call. I am not so much disappointed as I am mad. Why even go through the whole song and dance of pretending to care Sheila and Driscoll hospital? I flat out proved you don't actually care.

They take soooooo long to call u to the back !!! Have been sitting in the lobby for 3 hours and haven't been given a room . I came in before everyone else and the lobby was empty . And we are still here just waiting . My son is running a high fever he is tired and sleepy. He keeps begging me to take him home . I starting to consider just walking out . Only reason I haven't is because I'm afraid he has pneumonia .

Driscoll Children's Hospital is such a well run health facility. Every one of the physicians, nurses, admin, etc staff, that we encountered during my 19 year old daughter's unscheduled appendectomy were super kind, thorough and helpful. I'm so thankful that we chose them especially because we live out of town and she was on her own until we could get to her from a few hours away... everyone made her and us feel comfortable and very well taken care of during this emergency- thank you so much!!

Let me start off by saying this is not my first time being at Driscoll Childrens Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. Any time that your at a hospital it's bound to be a stressful time, even more so when it's a children's hospital. You'll be at a weak point in your life when it involves a hospital stay. There are few things if any that are good when you have to be at a hospital, but this is something Driscoll Childrens Hospital shines in. From the moment you walk inside and the way you are greeted is just the beginning. The staff truly try to make you as comfortable as possible during a difficult time/ situation in your life for you and your children. I don't know how this hospital does it but everyone you bump into no matter who it is has been and will be friendly and answer any questions you may have. The nurses, doctors even administrators have been amazing. They answer any questions you may have and do as much as they can to make you and your family member/ patient comfortable. You can see that everyone takes pride in their work and love doing what they do. They have treated me and my family amazing. They are hard working dedicated individuals and we could not be happier with how we've been treated. During a tough time in your life for your family and children, you can count on Driscoll Childrens hospital to be there for you.

Good hospital very professional staff. Even though they may or may NOT like me they have never deprived my children of care. A few misunderstandings but that is okay. They can only go by what sick bitch Johnson made up about me .
