So taking off 1 star, again, because of the creepy guy, Jack, who works there who's been inappropriate with me and has deterred me from even coming there even though I need cheap groceries. Before him it was my favorite store and everyone was so sweet and professional. Out of nowhere, I'm told by someone Jack just decided to talk to and tell that I wasn't allowed there anymore and that it was between me and management. Why is he talking to whoever about my business? He claims I was "caught on camera"? There's nothing on me for me to be in trouble, and so when I went to ask, because I'm pregnant and need cheap groceries, as aforementioned, he was hostile with me and demanded I leave and that it was between me and management. If it is between me and management, it is not appropriate to tell whoever he sees me associate with if I am allowed in a store. I recorded the whole interaction and he was extremely rude and even tried to get on his phone as if to threaten to call on me for wanting an explanation as to why I am even being told I can't be in the store anymore. That's ridiculous, but so has this place been since they hired this man and another one, an old neurotic man who thinks everyone is stealing. Not that I've been personally accused, at least yet..I am going to get to the bottom of this ASAP and if I have to take legal recourse, I absolutely will. This was all totally uncalled for. And it wasn't a good time for management to "only be in next week". Sounds a bit convenient if you ask me.

Things are always in the way and people don't care that you're trying to get by. One customer I told him that I pay his paycheck and he tried to fight with me all I wanted was for him to get his stuff out of his way so I can get my car through and go shopping

The manager takes advantage of her authority there! Yells in front of customers talks to customers ugly raises her voice to customers! Mind you it next to a high school and she does the same to the kids coming in and out of there. Refuses to give out corporate number when asked and mocks customers as she pleases.

This is my local Dollar General. They just underwent a remodeling. The store is nicely set up. For the most part especially lately the employees have been very polite and helpful. A while back there were some employees that were not so polite but I haven’t seen those same people in quite some time,
They extended the cold and frozen foods to line 2 walls instead of just one and a half. They seem to have more merchandise. They still have Christmas stuff on clearance.
The store is relatively clean, but there are usually only two employees so I assume it’s not quite as easy to pick up things that people drop. Throughout the whole store. The only problem I saw on the floor was someone had knocked all the hangers down, and they hadn’t been picked up yet. Otherwise, the clerk was extremely polite
Overall it was an excellent experience. By the way, another Dollar General opened just a couple of miles away at Yorktown and Waldron. Look for reviews on that. It seems to be a much larger store with a much greater selection, but surprisingly, there are no clerks. All machines are self-serve and they do not take EBT thus far and it been several months.

I really like Dollar General I personally call it the D G store it's fast they always have everything I'm looking for with great deals to boot employees are wonderful help kind for questions if needed my puppy also just loves the D G.
