Tried weighting the candy to buy only 1/2 of a pound since it was $6.50. Mixed flavors. Put too much in the bag. Told the woman $6.50 for a small bag. Gave the items back. She dug out the mixed flavors and out them back in the bin?

The bald man at the front was off from the start. He had a very sour tone. Then when my sister pays he looks at the card and asks to see her ID??? To buy candy??? Ridiculous customer service. Bad enough the candy is already pricey. You'd think they would be nicer since most customers are families with children.

It's a Candy Dream! Whenever I am sitting at home and having a sweet tooth, and I need it like RIGHT NOW, I just go to my favorite mall in Corpus Christi. La Palmera Mall. When you get into this mall, you have to find the elevator to get to it because it is on the 2nd floor/loft type mall. Oh boy but once you get off that elevator you will get the feels!Children ride on mythical beasts designed to be little scooters whirring past the smell of cinnamon buns by an upper floor bakery. But if you are not too distracted, this little corner shop will charm you!Once you get to the store, the employee there guides you through a santization station. I appreciate this, because prior to the pandemic sometimes I would get a little bit wary of too many hands going into the candy bucket. Well not here. You get a glove and a scoop or a tongs and you can load up your bag with a vast selection.The first side starts out with gummies bears butterflies cherries etc and then progresses to candy belts and the much loved "Jelly Belly" flavors. The other isle has great candy too. I enjoy my chocolate covered cinnamon bears, to different kind of chocolates. My friend always has me run for the chocolate covered cashews he loves. In between there are novelty candies: Harry Potters, old-fashioned pop-rocks, even the lollipop worms! I'm planning a trip there again pronto!Prices are weighed on a scale for accuracy and the employees make sure to scale it right. One heads up though: They require ID for debit purchases.

Excellent variety of candy, but can get quite expensive at $6.99 for a half pound. Candy was good. Would go back but definitely watch the weight of the candy.

Great place to take the kiddos! They've really taken this Covid 19 precautions seriously! Masks required, gloves needed, they hand you the scoop or tongs and the baggie. Also, don't forget your ID if paying with a card. I sent my teenage son in there once with my card and they wouldn't sell him anything. All in all, good practices happening here!

They take their time to ensure you get EXACTLY what you need. One year I got the crazy idea to send my mom some of their amazing chocolates…. Oh yeah did I mention she lives in Hawaii?! The workers there made a beautiful arrangement and had it packed and shipped for me!!! Nobody does anything like that anymore these days!!! When my mother received it… it was as if she was there with me when I bought it! She loved it and I couldn’t have gotten it done without their help! So from the bottom of my heart… a HUGE thank you to the good folks over at Bourbon Street Candy Co!

Love this family business. I ordered a candy basket for a friend and was amazed when I picked it up. The owner selected various yummy treats, wrapped them individually and decorated the basket beautifully. The gift was for a dear friend in assisted living. I highly recommend this business for gift baskets or just a sweet tooth.

Went in with my kids for their birthday. COVID precautions were a bit extreme but we comply. This one star review isn’t for that, its for the old man that watches us in silence like were shoplifting candy. It’s bad enough this place overprices, but to watch customers like you want us gone is how you drive people away. We were the only ones in there, displayed etiquette, manners, yet the owner/manager is mad were in there. Never going back.
