Waited over a month for the car to be returned to us after getting the runaround. Constantly finding more parts needing to be replaced or fixed and drained us of close to $2000. When we finally got the car back, there was severe cosmetic damage around the ignition switch. We also discovered the driver door will no longer lock or unlock manually or automatically. Now being told that’s how they received the car which is a flat out lie. Totally unacceptable.

After two transmission rebuilds through my warranty company I was very pleased with this shop until my last experience. Since they claim to be a full service shop I elected to send my son's malibu there for what I thought might be a head gasket replacement. Turns out it was the thermostat housing that needed to be replaced. Daniel quoted me over $200 for the part new or just under $200 refurbished and a grand total of over $600 for the complete repair. I went online and called two auto parts stores and the highest price I could find for the part was $87 and one look at YouTube showed me how to do the job myself in about 20 minutes. When I told them my son was coming to get the car they informed me that I owed a $175 diagnostic fee! I'm pretty sure that "diagnosis" entailed looking under the hood or putting it up on the lift and starting the car to see where the water was coming from. AND AUTO MECHANICS WONDER HOW THEY GET SUCH A BAD REPUTATION?

Went to AAmco Corpus Christi expecting to have to wait several days to get my car back and expecting to have to pay several thousand in repairs. After approx 2.5 hours they advised me that my problem was only a couple broke bolts and they replaced them at no charge. This was all on the day after Christmas. Thank you from a very senior citizen.

Brought in my vehicle for what I thought was going to be an expensive repair. I was quoted several hundred dollars more elsewhere. I was recommended by a friend. Daniel was able to explain to me what was happening to my vehicle in terms that I could understand and ended up saving me hundreds of dollars. Definitely coming back if I should have anymore problems. An honest/good mechanic is hard to come by these days.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDTransmisson has failed 3 times, I've spent over 5k dollars on repairs with AAMCO, on an older model truck, and on average and definitely a minimum every time my truck goes in for repairs on the Transmisson they rebuilt me. It takes a MINIMUM OF 3 weeks before its ready. They truck has been there on and off for a total of months collectively.Due to it sitting for so long and the continuous repairs I've gone through 2 BATTERIES. Which are over 100 a piece.I had also been charged 400 dollars for Diagnostic fees on the very transmisson they fixed....when I brought it back to them after they fixed the transmisson the first time and cleared it to be drivable.I have paid over 700 dollars in TOWING FEES. Apparently NOT covered in the warranty.Daniel has lied multiple times about deadlines, and trying to shift blame to me, in this process I have brought the truck to two other reputable shops in town and they have both found careless unprofessional or incomplete work on the truck DIRECTLY resulting in the Transmisson failing, the owner spoke to me once after months of leaving message at his shop and home base in SAN ANTONIO.Unwilling to really get involved in the situation I had to rely on Daniel relaying him false information and trying to shift blame to me. The client who paid for a working transmisson. This truck is used specifically for my business so it breaking down multiple times in the middle of jobs or right before has cost me literally 10's of Thousands of Dollars.I have been more than reasonable and patient with Aamco. Enough is Enough.-I have left 2 COMPLAINTS with AAMCO CORPRATE.-Also left a complaint with the BBB.-Filed an investigation with the ATTORNEY GENERAL.-Currently on the phone with a Lawyer to take the case(BELOW ARE PICTURES OF FAULTY WORK AND ALL THE TIMES IVE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED)Service: Transmission

My check engine light came on on my 2020 Honda and I took it to one shop who was trying to charge me an insane amount of money. I took it here and Daniel did a thorough check, found the issue, and did the repairs for a fraction of the cost of the first shop. I am so glad I got a second opinion and will definitely continue using this location for my vehicle needs.

In regards to F350 belonging to my close friend: In Dec 2022, my friend got his truck back from AAMCO. Within two weeks, the transmission failed again. Initially AAMCO would not take responsibility for the transmission, even though it was under warranty. It took a whole month and a bad review for them to finally agree to fix the truck. After he got the truck back, again the transmission failed. They “fixed” it for a third time, and it failed again. This time, they wouldn’t claim responsibility. The truck was towed to a different shop where they found the problem, and said that AAMCO is responsible. AAMCO refuses to take responsibility. It has been 8 months since he first got his truck back, and he has only been able to use it for a couple of weeks in that time. This truck is his work truck, so he has lost a lot of income without it….Not to mention the initial…almost $5000 for the transmission, and all of the towing fees that AAMCO did not cover. AAMCO has been very unprofessional in dealing with this situation. Customer service is definitely not a priority to them. Before you take your car to AAMCO, read the reviews. They speak for themselves.

If I could give them 0 STARS I would. Do not trust this place, they have cost me Thousands of Dollars and the Rebuild they have done which I paid 5k for has failed every single time. They do not do honorable work.Daniel is a Liar and tries to back out of doing work in anyway he can. My vehicle has been here on and off for most of the past 6-8 months.I honestly wonder if some of these reviews are being paid for. I have heard nothing but horrible things about this shop from every mechanic and auto parts or transmisson shop in town.Service: Transmission
