Called to ask for help because I just became homeless. Lady ignored the first call then answered mad because I called right back and didn't leave a message( I left one 2 days ago and never got a call back) explained that I am homeless living in my car and was told they only offer shelter and that she's not sure what they could do for me because I told her I'm sleeping in my broken down car and can't walk for 2 days to get to the salvation army. I have a job I have to be at.

They are very helpful and kind. Always reaching out to help those in our community who are less fortunate and helping to get them back on their feet. They are a blessing in these hard times, a shelter in the storm, so to speak.

Just so everybody knows, I just talked to them and they do not help with rent. They only help with utilities.

A tad bit of racism, the meals are repeated and not very nutritional. Each day it's expected of you to wake up at 7am and do a chore. It is very clean and the people are mostly respectful. There is a church every Sunday where we'd go and it brings peace and clarity. There's also another resource with better breakfast and Saturday breakfast where you'll get nutritious meals. If you are someone who doesn't get food stamps being malnourished is a huge concern. So if you aren't homeless but have over due bills my advice would be go to a church or food bank for food at the church. Go to the library for help with your resume and have a savings account. Go out to the park each day and learn to care for a pet as it will bring you love. It's not easy being homeless nore is it easy paying for everything on your own. Remember to accommodate and go out there and ask questions and never get too comfortable till you retire.

It's nothing like jail or prison!I was a 3x success story but I relapsed my last time in and got arrested.Trust me and just let them help you get back to work.I'm going back to jail just to stay off the street.I'm telling yall that it works just respect the program and stop using anything that isn't prescribed by a good doctor.I apologize to all the staff members who I disappointed ,let down and hurt. This place is full of angels who are there to help you.Remember that they will have to stop helping you if you don't care enough to follow the rules.I have been homeless for a year now because I didn't have any respect for myself so they were forced to let me go for good. The arrest was a cbd pen and I sat for months before it was dropped to a misdemeanor. This is the only place besides the jail that will put food into your stomach and a free roof over your headTAKE IT SERIOUSLY!Bonnie is a angel and so is her staff members.Don't get on their bedside just work save and then do what I was not doing ask her for advice on what will help you to make sure that you never become homeless again.Make sure that you move into a place where you can be successful Don't take a motel and leave for a couple months. They will help you BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO HELP YOURSELF.I love yall and I wish I could have made it and been a normal person again.

This Salvation Army does great things for a lot of people. Yesterday they came and took my donations of furniture and lots of odds and ends. I have to downsize and they made it so easy to donate.

I didn’t stay, but I could’ve if I had been alright with only staying for the rest if the night, then leaving at dawn. You have to get there a little before4:30 though, because they let people in as they come and keep the doors locked, so you can’t see there’s already a line formed to wait in, in there.
