We’ve been members of this franchise —almost since it opened— for multiple cars. Yesterday we had an incident in which soap on the breaks prevented the car from stopping. According to Devin -the manager at this location- a similar incident had occurred before when someone who had just exited the car wash rear ended his car as he was leaving this location, possibly because of the same issue. However, the most frustrating thing is for the manager to deny that these incidents can actually happen. No one crashes their cars on purpose, especially after specialists attest the car had no issues with the breaking system. Could this issue be rare? Absolutely. Should we look into it if there’s allegations -even if rare- that soap doesn’t wash away the way it is intended inside the car wash? Absolutely. Just to deny the facts is not a way to manage a delicate and possibly a very dangerous situation. Quality assurance and performance improvement plans and their implementation also apply to car washes.
