Older man was asking people for help outside. Told him to come inside and I'll get him whatever he wants. He said he just wanted something to drink. Ended up getting him a taco and a coke. That's all he wanted. I could see he was scared to go inside and he said they don't like him. Told him I don't care what they like and to come inside. After we were done he asked me to sit with him outside while he ate. Turns out he's a 71yr old military vet on social security who lives in an apt down the street who just doesn't have enough to make it thru the month sometimes. He was showered, clean clothes etc. Well mannered too. When I think of the contempt on their faces when we walked in it makes me upset. I don't care what people think about me I'm a trucker. We're used to people treating us like they don't want us around but this harmless old man wasn't bothering anyone. He wasn't trying to buy drugs or alchohol he just wanted a Coke. He was walking and it's almost 100 degrees today. He said he feels bad because they treat him like a bum and they're mean to him. If he approaches you he's a good guy. His name is Mark.

Just left this gas station. The “worker” as soon as I got out of my car was chasing down an older gentleman. I walked in grabbed my things walked to the counter and waited a couple of minutes as no one was behind the counter. When the man finally came behind the counter he was clearly intoxicated. He scanned my items I presented my ID which he did not take or scan and then after I put it away asked to see it again. Then proceeded to hold my items and my change and told me to be safe. I asked for my things and he handed me my bills and stared oddly at me than gave me the rest of my change. I go to grab my items and he holds onto them for a few moments and then reluctantly let go. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation and will never be returning to this place. And women I suggest not going either.
