Store staff was great but my interaction with distribution center employees has cost Conn’s a customer for life. You can find better furniture and a much better customer service experience elsewhere. My previous review for Conn’s was a 5 star and had spent several thousand with the company intended on spending several thousands more. Conn’s will no longer even enter the conversation when we consider needs in the future.

On June 24, 2024, I walked into the store to purchase furniture and a washer and dryer. I ended up falling in love with a sofa, chaise, and washer/dryer. At first I was hesitant to go through with the process to purchase so I decided to go look at a different store and then come back if I decided that I didn't find anything I liked. Well, I didn't so I drove back and started the buying process. The process itself wasn't the smoothest. The system went down so I had to come back but technology does that sometimes no big deal. I went back later that afternoon and took care of everything. They stated I'll get my furniture delivered July 13th and I was set to go. On July 12th, the day before delivery, I receive a call from the manager. He tells me that my furniture is out of stock and will not be delivered on the 13th. My only options were to wait until September or come pick out more furniture that can be delivered the next day. To say I was pissed would be an understatement. I was livid. Why didn't you know it wasn't in stock until the day before the delivery? Why didn't the warehouse inform anyone that they went out of stock knowing they had pending deliveries for that piece of furniture? Now I was stuck with figuring out what to do considering I moved into my first place on July 1st already having to wait practically 2 weeks for the furniture and appliances. I was upset and didn't want to pick anything else because I hated everything else. Unfortunately, I had a decision to make. Either wait two months to get what I originally paid for and go without furniture, or get something I would try to learn to love. Of course I chose the latter. I don't love it, I don't like it, but I had to put my need before my want. So here we are folks. I'm currently writing a review sitting on a couch I never wanted. To be clear, I left a lot of other stuff that happened out because this was already too long. I do want to say that the people in this store were kind and understanding. They were graceful even when my frustration had me walk away and regroup because again, I was pissed. I place no blame on them and all the blame on the company (the phone customer service was terrible) and warehouse for not contacting me at all. The manager at this location did contact me because he had a feeling the warehouse who handles delivery didn't tell me that the sofa and chaise was out of stock. All in all, I would recommend the people in the store, but not the company.
