They care about EVERY animal I have brought in. Lost a calf, they cried with me, lost a kid goat, they found another and saved it!
My dogs are hyper, the greet them and keep the calm!
Great staff, great Vets, good pricing! Always trying to find a good deal or coupon when I need it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My puppy needed to be seen on a Sunday. I called the after hour vet, Dr Abbey, he did not hesitate to open up for me and meet him there at 9am. They were very attentive to my puppy and made sure he was ok to go home. They gave him an antibiotic shot. Sent him home with other meds and let me know to bring him back if he didn’t get better in a couple of days! Happy to say my puppy is ok. If Dr Abbey would not have seen him, I’m not sure I could say that!!! This will be our vet from now on!!!

I had to bring in my sweet boy because he was vomiting and not eating. I was so worried about him. The vet, Dr. Fishback, was nice and helpful. They ran a blood test and turns out he is perfectly healthy. The vet went over and explained everything on the chemistry panel/CBC so that I could understand what everything meant. Which meant a lot to me. He just had an upset tummy. The vets intern/apprentice never spoke a word to me but she was sweet to my boy, so that's all that really mattered to me. The cost was $177 for the office visit plus the blood test. It was worth it to know my baby was gonna be okay and that he's healthy. I'm very thankful for Dr. Fishback and all his help. I'll be bringing my animals in the future, if needed.

Moved to the Mullin area about 5 years ago.. Asked around for who handled the K9's and had common sense Vets on staff. As I have lived in a lot of places.. I've learned to ask!
I mention common sense and price about vets, as I've learned that the great ones don't rip folks off, and don't try to sell you "products" they carry, when you have it in your own medicine cabinet.
I had a special girl with me then.. who was exceptionally duel trained, and then abused. Not the typical family pet situation. They got us taken care of.. copied my traveling file on her, and she was very happy with how she was treated. Trust me, a 98lb East GSD, will let you know. Lost her after 9 years of devotion,, she made a lot of friends in the area. That late night call was handled wonderfully, pretty sure we both shed tears on the phone.. and no, I wasn't billed.
Shortly after... A friend asked me to help out and rescue another GSD. Of course.. I'm using CCV. Had some crazy handwritten vet notes, not exactly sure how old she is. They set me up with an afternoon of care, getting her fixed, along with any and all shots and tests. Again, medical care charge was minimal! And all her needed vacs etc.. not treated as a separate care price.
A wonderful affordable package, for people who believe in keeping animals healthy and safe etc.
Had to go out of area without my fury sidekick, was able to set up boarding and care, no problem. Allowed for a bed and her favorite Duck.. as well as her regular food. Not something you find at many places anymore!
They strive to communicate on your level and experience. I've seen a complaints from folks, and all I can say is.. those complaints are from folks who did not communicate well.
So, when you catch them being busy... there is a reason. I've never had a cross word with anyone (that works) there. And I'd go out of my way to help them with anything.. they have earned it.

Absolutely the best vet we have been to! We value Dr. Fishback’s knowledge, kindness and common sense. We also appreciate the very helpful staff. We drive up from Brown county.

We just moved here and needed to get all 4 of our dogs on flea/tick treatment and heartworm. Everyone was very helpful from front office to the techs and the vet. This is our furbabies vet now.

I really can't remember every individual visually, but everybody was really kind and nice. We had to put our dog down. My only suggestion would be a little more warmth and maybe a Band-Aid on the injection site so it didn't bleed out when you left the family there. Thank you for the atmosphere, thank you for letting our family member cross that remote bridge comfortably.

If there was a zero rating for this vet clinic that is what I would be giving them today. I wasted 30+ minutes trying to ask a simple question about if my pet could have a type of flea medication, and still never got my question answered. First I called the vet clinic and was asked to hold. After being on hold for 10 minutes the machine hung up on me. So I called back and informed them that I had been on hold for 10 min and then the line disconnected. She apologized for that and then got my info to pull up my pet’s account. Since my pet had been given a flea treatment no too long ago they needed to ask the vet if it would be safe for the pet to have another one now even though it was a pill versus an external drop. After being placed on hold again and waiting another 7 minutes, I went inside the facility because I had driven there by this time. When I went inside two girls just gave me blank looks as one was counting money and the other was watching her. Finally they asked me what they could do for me. And I informed them that I am actually the person that is still currently on hold with them. And you can see the phone literally sitting there on the desk off the hook. And they were like “Oh! For (pet’s name here)? I looked all over for the vet and could not find him. But his vehicle is still here so he is around here someplace.” I then proceeded to stand there at their desk for another 10-15 minutes as they carried on with counting the money and hauling pet food around. Still never saw the vet. Never was told anything else from these girls at all, until I said “okay, I have spent 30 minutes on this one question now and I think that is enough. We will be finding another vet. Thank you.” And then the one still at the desk said “I’m sorry” as I was leaving.
Previously, about 2-3 weeks ago I called to see if I could have my pet boarded overnight. They let me know that would be fine as we are customers of theirs. I asked what time I should bring my pet to be dropped off and was told 5:30pm. When I showed up that evening I was 2 minutes late. It was 5:32pm and the lights were off and the doors were locked. And I was about to panic because we needed to have our pet boarded this night. Then I see people walking to cars at the edge of the parking lot from around the back of the facility. I call out to them “Excuse me, I was supposed to board my pet at 5:30pm.” A couple of them look at each other and then one walks over to who I guess is the boss. They converse amongst themselves and then the employee goes back inside from the rear entrance. She goes through the facility and opens the front door for me, but she is pissed. I apologize to her and say “I’m sorry, they told me to bring my pet at 5:30pm.” She responds “Well I don’t know who told you that because we close at 5:30!” She takes my pet in his carrier to the back room and seemingly just leaves him there and then comes back and looks him up on the computer and takes the food I brought for him then escorts me out and locks the door. I don’t even know if he was given his supper or water or anything.
I thought the first time might have been an off day but then the encounter about the flea medicine happened today and it is just ridiculous. I will drive a half hour to the next town before I go back to this vet. At least by the end of that 30 minutes I will probably have an answer or a solution.

Dr. Abbey is the after hours vet that answers the phone. We had an after hours emergency and couldn’t find ANY vets local to us (Brownwood) and someone suggested to call here. He was so KIND, and helpful! It’s always nerve wrecking calling a dr after hours because it can be frustrating, understandably. He was caring and answered all our questions. We will be seeking our animal care from this location from here on out.
