Just called to schedule an appointment and to make sure they took my insurance. I was told to call my insurance co myself and figure that out and then hung up on.

Dr. Unell and his nurse are probably the BEST wellness care team, I have ever had in my life! However, you have to have thick skin to deal with the front desk and billing staff. They are usually passive and mildly rude when I'm advising them of my insurance benefits and their errors.This time, I was simply advising the check in attendant that I did not have a new insurance card. UHC no longer sends them out. (Benefits can be verified via the portal) I was also advising that the copay is different than the year before and I was due a refund. Because regardless of what I know my copay is, I just pay what they say because they are so adamant about it. Shonda rudely interrupted my conversation in a combative manner, completely in the wrong. She snatched my file from the lady and stated " I'll handle this" I asked if she needed to cancel my appointment due to her behavior. She said I could cancel. ? ? A company trying to make money does definitely not need that from their employees and Dr Unell just lost a patient because of her lack of professionalism in the work place. He's absolutely THE BEST DR. If you can stomach the front desk. This was just the straw that broke the camels back for me!

I so badly want to make an appointment at the FEM Centre with a doctor that I have seen in the past, but I have called 7-8 times, and each time, I've gotten put on hold and then hung up on. I've not actually been able to speak with anyone yet. I had amazing service with the doctor when I went there, but it seems like it's going to take me calling back consistently and just getting lucky in order to actually be able to talk to a human to schedule me with an appointment.

I went here for years with Dan. He was the best. Fem centre charged me some $50 cancelation fee for an appointment that i canceled 2 years ago. Seems that they added up to $120 additional fees on top of the bogus fee then turned me into collections and refused to treat my cancer due to an outstanding balance that I didn't know about. I don't see that in the hippocratic oath. Wow. Just wow. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. This is almost a reportable issue. Shame on all of you!

Dr Unell is intelligent, compassionate, and well connected. I came for a second opinion and his advice and timely referral to a surgeon dramatically changed the course of my treatment for the better. I got great service here and I'll be back.

I’ve been going to the FEM centre for many years and each time the experience seemingly gets worst. The lady at the front desk is very passive and did not acknowledge me while I was standing in front of her for a couple minutes. Later, Gayla and her assistant entered the room without a knock and nobody explained what their role is and why they’re in the room. Gayla’s assistant starts messing with equipment so I ask her role in the procedure she said it was to pass Gayla equipment. That’s totally fine. Although, the assistant was staring at my private area making me extremely uncomfortable. There was no reason she needed to stare at my private area, it makes for a very uncomfortable and unprofessional environment for the patient.A few days after my appointment I messaged the nurse staff on the Patient Portal and Lisa responded very vaguely and didn’t even acknowledge my question. After I messaged again the next day Lisa finally called me to “explain” the test results. She sounded like she couldn’t be bothered with my questions and wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible.I’m really disappointed with the whole experience at the FEM Centre.The one saving grace for that place is Carolyne(not sure exactly how she spells it), she is the office supervisor. I called to express my concerns and she was professional and very kind. She made me feel heard and understood and valued. They desperately need more Carolynes there!

I find the best care here! I cannot understand the other comments about the lab or the staff. In Fort Worth you cannot even feel the stick from Criselda. Been a patient over 10 years and never had a negative experience. I see Kathy Abrahamson but the other providers are very polite and everyone has a friendly greeting. Love the supplements. I got through my hysterectomy and follow up care with ease.

Have been going to FEM Centre Colleyville (Dan Petr) since 2017 for bio-hormone replacement therapy and thyroid management. I always receive thorough, competent and courteous service from administrative staff, nurses, lab technician and physician assistant. All go above and beyond to accommodate appt scheduling, refill requests and communications with PCP, and truly listen and care about patients. Impressive advance reminder and follow up services, to ensure labwork results are received before appts... almost to the point of harrassment since I'm typically waiting for my PCP to give me blood labwork orders! (Hahaha and ugh at the same time). One star deducted for personal locale preference: Dan Petr is only at Colleyville office 1 day a week, which makes for challenges with appt availability. Highly recommend!

The most professional staff and doctors , nurses I have ever had. This is a team that reflects the brilliance of dr mccerther. Make no mistake the fem Centre is by far the best practice in Dallas. From the lead doctors to the pa’s you will not find a more professional team.

I have been going to the FEM Center for many years. I felt very comfortable seeing Gayla there. I was told last week they have opted out Medicare and it made me furious! Seems they really don't care about their patients by doing this. We have a screwed up medical system that is causing alot of us financial stress. Looking for better options.

The lab associated with the Fem Center is terrible. The lady that draws the blood is the only person to EVER hurt me while taking blood.Today was worse. She couldn’t get blood from one vein so she tried another. She hurt me so badly I screamed and left. Now I sit here with two bruises and in pain.

I went to this center today and I am SO happy! From my 1st call to see if they accepted my insurance to me walking out the lab doors? My experience as been so nice! They answered all of my questions and more. And when I scheduled my appointment, they even gave me the option ahead of time of which doctor or nurse practitioner I wanted to see. I had brought my baby and toddler in a double stroller and everyone was so sweet to my kids. They were also very accommodating with me and my kids. I felt like everyone was genuinely nice too. Their facility may not be super fancy and up to date but I'll take courtesy and convenience anyday. Added bonus, they have a lab right next door.

These doctors know female health needs! I have never been treated so warmly and well. I feel 100% better now that I'm taking their advice and recommended health supplements. I go to both offices - depends on my schedule. Dr McWherter and Kathy Abrahamson are my providers of choice, not also the new provider, Carter, are great. So is Dan Petr and Gayla. Not a fan of Toni the oldest nutritionist but have liked the others I have met with.
