Cockroaches found in room. Fox News is the default channel on TV's. TV's burnt in and damaged. The front desk said they wouldn't clean room on the weekend. Breakfast was gross. Absolutely trashy place. Never staying here again.

Rotten walls and mold save yourself the trouble!
We booked five days and four nights in a two queen suite at College Station. I'm not one to write reviews but I'm writing this because I was shocked to find what appeared to be possibly black mold peeking out behind a soggy rotten wall at a Staybrigde suite. I went to the front desk because the bathroom would have this mildew / rotten smell when the shower was in use. Asthma runs in my family so naturally I asked if we could be moved. They said, all rooms were sold out but a note would be put in so we could be POSSIBLY moved tomorrow. They had a guy come in to clean and put caulking over it. But the drywall itself plus the surrounding area was still soft and wet, to the point where the paint was peeling and bubbling. I went the next day to see if there was a room available. No one at the front desk knew what I was talking about because to my surprise no note was logged. When speaking to the Manager Anthony, he told me it was just "Dry wall dust". I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I was offended. Anthony sent another maintenance guy upstairs. I showed him my concerns. He then asked..who fixed this. I would not have fixed it that way. He communicated that the area was rotten and would need to be removed. He made a call updating management of the current situation of what he observed. He told us we can't be in the room because of the bad smells. After the maintenance called ALL of a sudden another room was found. Anthony told us to pack up our belongings another room is being cleaned. We were waiting over a HOUR until I had to go back downstairs to see what was taking so long. This was the one day my family had planned to go on a family outing separate from Junior Olympics and now we're dealing with this mess of a room that wasn't ever safe for occupancy. We finally got moved to another room. As we were leaving, when checking out, Anthony didn't feel like our family needed any compensation for our inconvenience for having to stay in a room that leached smells of decay and mildew out of the bathroom into the bedroom with slimy paint trying and failing to hide black mold. Because apparently we booked so many rooms due to the Junior Olympics at a lower rate keep in mind it was only lower do to us booking a year in advance, he was not willing to compensate us anymore. He felt our compensation was him finding us another room to stay which you think would be the beginning to the compensation of staying in a "safe" health hazard. To anyone booking thinking that every other room is fine no,in the hallways there is not proper air conditioning so a majority of the establishment feels like you are walking in a sauna. We checked with our teammates and none of the bathrooms have proper ventilation to begin with so what's in our room is guaranteed to be in others. If you need a message from above telling you not to book, consider this a heavenly sign because who wants to pay good money for a hotel that doesn't value their customers'health and when asked for the common courtesy of compastation think that " nothing was wrong". With Staybridge being so close to Texas A&M. I thought this establishment would show more care for athletes health who choose to book at this establishment. Coaches please don't book block rooms here, read the reviews first. If you value good lung health before game day.
Rooms: They need to be remodeled.

The check-in was very smooth. The room is very nice. We were upgraded to a two room suite, which is very nice.

The room is nice and clean. We like the separated living room. However, when we arrived at 4:30pm, we were told no running water until 6:30 due to pipe burst. So we can go to restroom or wash hands. Then next morning, our room key card stopped working. After I went back and forth 7 or 8 times from room to front desk, they said it might be because the battery on the door knob needs to be replaced. The hotel itself is not too bad, but so many hiccups. I’m not sure if I will be back.

Great location, stores, and restaurants right across the street. The college is 5 minutes away. Hear price for a 2 bed suite worth separate living room. Full kitchen (minus the oven). Dishes, pots, pans, and silverware provided.
Rooms: Very spacious, separate living room and bedroom, big kitchen with utensils

Cleanest hotel I have stayed at...so important when you are not at your own place. Relatively close to A &M (less than 10 minutes drive). Elaborate breakfast with a Greek yogurt bar and breakfast taco bar besides all the usual stuff. The only thing that was somewhat off was there were coffee grounds in the coffee...Otherwise outstanding!

Rooms: Of 6 staybridge’s I have stayed at this is the only one I despise. 2 nights after 11pm people jumping up and down on floor above us.
Hotel needs remodeling badly.
Hilton has remodeled down the street, and that’s where I’ll stay next time. Don’t waste your money.
I love all the Staybridges I have stayed in , but this is nothing like the rest of them.

The front desk worker seemed annoyed anytime someone came to the desk. The rooms are old and not maintained or cleaned well. Plus, the hotel feels unsafe with men roaming the halls all night. I couldn’t even stay in my room (which somehow cost $350) because I felt unsafe. I also couldn’t workout because the exercise room was being occupied by a basketball team having their team meeting (not working out). I would never stay here again.

Mattress is rock hard. I had a reservation for a few nights but changed it to one night and switched hotels because the bed is so uncomfortable. Disappointing because the room is nice sized, clean, and they have good breakfast. It is nice that Chipotle is in the parking lot.

Stayed here multiple times over the last 3 years due to its proximity to A&M and because they accept dogs. However, the customer service has definitely declined. Rooms are not being maintained/cleaned as expected. Definitely will be trying out other area hotels in the future. I think the 4 star rating is deceptive as it is reflective of the hotel in years past. Not the current state.

Disappointing- old and outdated. Does not feel clean or well kept. The renovations are underway - even more disruptive, dirty parking lot. The website and reservations make no difference medications that renovations are happening. Definitely not a place I would recommend. Price is outrageous for little amenities and laskluster accommodations. Willl not return.

Really great place, friendly staff and clean. Nearby a shopping area if you need anything!Rooms: Clean and well-configured. Even had an ice maker in the freezer.Nearby activities: Near a shopping area and a few restaurants, if you want to walk.Safety: The shopping area is pretty busy, and feels safe. There's a major busy road and highway not too far away, and it's all well-lit and relatively quiet at night.

Wanted to work remotely during my stay and their internet was super slow to the point that I ended up using my mobile hotspot instead all the time!

The hotel and room was in good shape. The staff was very friendly and inviting. I wish the breakfast hours were a bit longer.
