We just had to put out big boxer boy, Prince down due to many health issues. From day one (7 years ago) when we got him from Austin Boxer Rescue, College Hills has loved him and loved on him every time we see them. Their level of compassion, especially in times like putting them down, is incomparable. We will forever be grateful to them for always treating our fur kids as if they were their own.

I have been going here for 5 years since I got my dog Leia when she was 6weeks old. In the last five years they have given me excellent care. I can call and ask questions and they'll answer them over the phone. They've taken care of everything from diagnosing a life threatening condition that was fixed to helping me care for her allergies. I've also brought my two cats here since they were kittens and they've loved them unconditionally. The team here is so dedicated to the care of the animals that are brought into their clinic. I would never want to go anywhere else.

Brought our new pup, Fisher, in for a post-adoption physical. I was VERY impressed with each staff member that came to my car. It was obvious they loved dealing with animals (and were very patient with the human that had a lot of questions). Thank you!!!

It was 2 yrs ago Aug, Dexturd had a visit for abscess wound care and healed nicely. What the Vet couldnt fix is Dex's wild nature. Two days ago, Dex needed the same procedure. Again, the wonderful docs n techs fixed him right up. Pls post the pus extraction vid! lol

When I came home from work one evening and saw my 16 year old kidney challenged kitty, I knew she was at death's door. She was completely limp, and would barely respond. I immediately called College Hills Vet. They had me bring her in immediately and took care of her. I am totally convinced that it is because of their care that Sadie is still alive! I can't say enough good things about them. They take care of all 3 of my cats, and I feel totally confident leaving my babies in their care. I highly recommend them!

I’ve been using College Hills vet hospital for almost 26 years and they are the best. I really appreciate all the staff and Dr Stewart, Dr Smith and Dr Mahoney for all they have done for all my pets both past and present.

Dr. Hooker and his staff are the absolute best. I just had to put my 16 year old chihuahua to rest yesterday and Dr. Hooker made me feel so at rest and that I made the right decision for my baby. I can’t even explain how much they made me at ease in such a difficult situation. I am forever grateful.

I found College Hills through Aggieland Humane Society, as they have me a coupon for a free visit for my cat. It was very pleasant when I brought my cat, and they removed his hernia for a very affordable price and he hasn't had any issues since. BUT, I took my dog there, which has been going to another clinic for years since I rescued her, and I did not get the same experience.. As she was a stray and I found her when she was already around 2 years. I brought her to my previous vet right after I found her and she was tested for heart worms, which resulted in a severe result. 2 yrs later she is Heartworm free. She receives a 6 month Heartworm preventative shot, called Pro-Heart. When I brought this up, the technician as well as the vet said they didn't know what I was talking about and didn't care to ask her previous clinic anything about it. They charge a $40 appointment fee every single visit, which is outrageous considering they gave her a citapoint shot costing $60, eye lubricant, her visit came out to around $150.. they try to run every test they can, and are EXTREMELY pushy. I recently took her in to get her yearly shots, and a dental consult. They tested her for heart worms and it was negative. They said they would do a fecal float, never did. They were too busy telling me that they have no record of a parvo or distemper vaccine and that she needs it. Didn't call her past clinic and ask. And when I said I wasn't sure, since it was 2 years ago that I first took her to a vet, they started having an extreme attitude, treating me as if I didn't take care of my dog. Saying she shouldn't be brought home with no shots to socialize with my cat and dog. Being as I didn't know and they didn't call her past clinic to get her records, I wanted to wait to get her records before I ended up giving her unnecessary vaccinations. They were extremely judgmental, and when I asked about a dental exam, they came back at me with "you don't think parvo, and heart worm pills are more important than teeth?" That was extremely disrespectful. And then the tech let the door slam on the way out. Overall, this experience was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I made an appointment with her past vet clinic the next day, she got all her vaccinations and Pro heart shot. No questions asked or judgments passed. They weren't pushing me into paying ridiculous amounts of money for treatments or shots, no $40 appointment fee. No disrespect. And actually gave me a free bottle of shampoo for her itchy skin caused by allergies. All in all, I will never go back and i don't recommend this clinic to anyone. Their behavior was uncalled for and I pay half the price at Washington Animal Clinic and received exemplary care.

Before I start this review, I want to be clear that it is in regards to my interactions with the staff and my experience in boarding my cat. I have not interacted with a vet here. The techs I interacted with when dropping my cat off were friendly and answered all of the questions I had at that time and when I called to check on her. I requested at the beginning of her stay that her nails be trimmed (one of their optional services while boarding) and also approved a stool flotation test. I left for my trip thinking she was in good hands. HOWEVER... When I came to pick her up I was told that her nails had not been trimmed because she had not cooperated with the techs, and that they "couldn't really even get to her litter box." In addition, she had only been given half her breakfast that morning because the tech said that she hadn't wanted to open a new can of food on her last day. So I returned to pick up my cat to find that: - she had not been properly fed - services I requested had not been completed - her litter box may or may not have been cleaned regularly - I can only guess that the test I authorized was not completed because no one said a word to me about it I understand that cats can be skittish, but I was taken aback that, in two weeks, there was no one, at any time, with enough professional experience to trim a cat's nails. Our previous vet and tech were able to handle this task with no problem. Still, I made an appointment to bring her back for the nail trim, thinking that I would be there to make sure she stayed calm. The day before my evening appointment, a tech called to let me know that I would have to bring her in the morning instead of at my scheduled appointment time. He explained that she would need to be sedated based on her past behavior at their office. I cancelled the appointment and will not return. In the end, I was left with the impression that the staff of this clinic are friendly but either inexperienced or incompetent. I will be looking for a clinic whose staff have a basic understanding of and ability to follow through with the care they promise to provide.

Never had a problem with them. Always so nice and helpful. They may be a little expensive but I always know my dog is getting the best care which is worth it.
