So I really enjoy going to Costco, theres really good samples and the sample people are really nice. However, when I’m getting ready to checkout I actually feel a sense of dread. The people that work at checkout are not really nice a lot of time I have no idea why it just comes off so inauthentic and disingenuous. Let’s compare to the checkout people at Aldi at Briarcrest in Bryan, they are so nice and honestly checking out there is so simple and no tension whatsoever but at Costco their demeanor is strangely off putting and just comes off like they straight up dislike me sometimes. There was a checkout person that was pretty nice but as time would pass they would lose their smile and really be acting like a robot. Maybe that’s what working here does to a person but they don’t even smile most of the time. I recommend just going through self-checkout, they’re apparently too fed up with doing the checkout lines or maybe it’s just something with me. Unfortunately, I recount these experiences with having mostly different checkout workers and the majority are off putting. (It’s not like this at other costcos when I go to Austin or Cali etc.)

Nice stock. Plenty of room. But oops! Get checkout from actual employees and they miss the largest items in the cart, prompting me to get escorted by loss prevention to the punishment kiosk. Only 10 minutes later and I'm on my way! The items are big, please do better with shoppers' time

As an Executive Member of Costco for over 10 years, I am extremely disappointed to share the worst experience I have ever had at this store. Today, during our usual visit, starting with a quick meal at the food court followed by shopping, my family and I were unfairly treated. After presenting our membership card at the exit, a white female staff member stopped us and insisted that we re-enter through the main entrance. However, to our dismay, we witnessed multiple white families and individuals behind us enter through the same exit without any issues and proceed to order their food.
We fully understand the need for membership verification, but everyone should be treated equally and fairly. If Costco requires membership verification for food court access, there should be consistent processes in place, such as installing membership scanners at both the entrance and exit or integrating the membership verification directly into the ordering system. It is unreasonable for an employee to question the authenticity of a membership card and selectively deny access to some while allowing others to pass without issue.
This experience was not only frustrating but also felt discriminatory. Members, regardless of background, deserve consistent and equal treatment. Costco needs to address these inconsistencies immediately to prevent further instances like this from happening. We should be treated with the same respect and fairness as everyone else.

Customer service at the College Station unit is impeccable. I would like to give a whole hearted shout out to the Costco employees who helped me yesterday. I was feeding my kid, the glass bottle slipped from my hand and broke into a million pieces on the floor. There was a customer service rep who was nearby and immediately pulled a cart over the mess. She called for help and they took care of the situation. I apologized profusely and felt really bad for the mess I made. However, she was kind enough to take care of the situation. Thank you again for your kindness.
