I just bought a 110 oz premixed fuel 50-1 Trufuel brand at lake hardware in Lake Jackson, I was charged $35 and change. That sounded really high so I went outside in my vehicle and looked at Lowe’s who sales the very same item for $23.98, this is a 50% markup at lake hardware. I went back inside and asked the attendant is this is correct what he charged me and he looked and said yes. I showed him the price at Lowe’s while he was looking it up. He offered nothing in return. I told them they just lost a customer!!! I will never buy another item from any of the Lake Hardwares. I don’t mind a little difference in the stores. LH is smaller so I’m sure they don’t get it as cheap but a 50% markup, come on. I am going to carry this back AND GET MY MONEY BACK

I’m giving them 1 star just by virtue of the fact they were open.Walked in to find one employee sitting in a counter glued to his phone. Said good morning & his response was simply “Yeah”. I asked for Fusion pvc cement (which is on the website). He said never heard of it. He pointed & said all the glue is over there. I picked up a couple of glues. Went back to the front, he pointed to another register.Another stellar employee checked me out all without saying anything to me. At the end of the sale, I told her “Thank you & Merry Christmas “. Her reply was also “yeah “.And this is why so many people buy on line!!!

An awesome hardware store with a great variety of useful products. I can usually park close to the front door. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. There is also a good selection of lumber out back.

I went in to get keys made. One of the two employees not behind a register ask what I needed. I told them. After getting them made, the employee said ‘he hates doing keys and won’t do it again.’ Not quoting because I don’t remember the exact wording.If you don’t like doing something, fake it until you’re not in front of customers expressing about it.I paid. And left. I won’t be going back.

If its something that they normally stock then their price is about what you would pay after the trip to a big box store with the travel and gas included. If you are like me, my time is valuable and I want to get the task done so getting my item and getting back to the house is a plus. Much more convenient and my first place to go.
