I came in for the free oil change for veterans on veterans day. They were very professional and fast. The shop is very clean. I was very happy with their work and will return for any future work on my car. Thank you again for the oil change.

I am writing regarding the service which we had performed on our Chevy HHR on Thursday, October 5th. One of the reasons we decided to give this company a try was because of all the great reviews which they have. Sadly, ours will not be one of them.I would like to mention that the staff at GIC are very friendly, and the front office is very clean and smooth functioning. When I dropped the car off for the turn signal repair, as it turned out, the night before, on October 4th, the left hand turn lightbulb went out. I left a note regarding this when the car was left in the early drop off. I (and thus far, everyone I have mentioned this to) was quite shocked when I was told that to replace the light bulb would be $56.84 for what would take, essentially 2 minutes for the mechanic to replace. What we found the most insulting was that you were asking for $56.84 at the same time you are giving us an estimate for additional repairs totaling close to $1,200! An excellent "good will gesture", and to ensure the possibility of returning as a customer to have the estimated repairs completed, would have been to replace the light bulb at no charge, which my husband did in a matter of minutes upon arriving home.We also question the comment that the car needed new shocks and struts when they replaced less than 30,000 miles ago. While we realize that this is just the mechanics opinion at GIC, a much more professional way to have presented this would have been to ASK us when the last time was that we had the shocks and struts changed as opposed to having it be something needing "Urgent Attention". While we do not dispute that the car may need to have the radiator hoses and thermostat replaced, what we did not appreciate was the HIGH PRESSURE "scare tactic" that Lexi used as we closed out our invoice. She made it seem like the car would seize and blow up on the drive home if we did not schedule an appointment IMMEDATELY to replace the hoses. In my lifetime of automotive experience, while something like this MAY happen, it is totally unlikely. Using high pressure sales tactics, rarely, if ever ends up working in favor of the company, especially when you present them with an estimate and without any type good will gesture. We will not be returning to GIC, nor will we ever give them a recommendation.

I like this place and I feel they are honest. James is amazing always very helpful and they have great customer services. Availability is always quick and don't have to wait long. The only thing I would say is when you pick up your vehicle they provide you a long list of recommended maintenance and they review it with you. But the review sometimes does feel like you are being pressured to schedule an appointment. But overall, I will continue to bring my car here.

This company sends fliers home for oil change and other repairs. But when you reach their shop they try to sell you other stuff. Even with coupons in fliers my total cost for oil change came higher than previous repair shop I used to go.

I got a flyer in the mail and needed aPlace to get an oil change. The coupon deal was fantastic. Easy to make an appointment over the phone. Easy check in. Friendly service. Samantha was super efficient and cheerful. Oil change didn't take as long as expected which is good. Pretty easy. I would go back again. No hard sells on extras but some recommendations. I can change an air filter and I appreciate them pointing out it was needed. After my visit, I found out my moms neighbor also goes here for car service. Check in for the oil special. Tell them I sent you!

I took my Audi here for maintenance and upper control arm repair in 2022. The control arm was cracked so I called GIC to ask about their warranty. Luckily, they have a 36,000 miles or 3 year warranty so the control arm replacement would be covered. Turns out, my car needed more repairs than the control arm. It was going to cost so much, but since I had extended warranty, I asked if GIC can call the insurance for me. Usually, this is an annoying and lengthy process but they were immediately willing to help. Samantha and Helen were very responsive and quick with getting it done. Helen made sure I was updated on the status of my car while it was there, waiting for the insurance and adjuster. I didn't have to worry because they were proactive in calling me first before I even needed to call. This shop cares about the customer. They definitely put customers first because they tried their best to help me lower my out of pocket costs. I have only good things to say about their customer service. Alan, Helen, and Samantha are very friendly, responsive, and worth all the 5 stars they have. I recommend GIC to anyone reading this review. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I never felt intimidated or worried while my car was here. I'll continue to take my car here for anything car-related.

I had an issue with the left turn signal. I was able to get an appointment the same day. They helped me fix it and only charged me for the work they have done. There were no hidden costs. They explained a list of services I should do to maintain my car. Would definitely recommend this center.

This review is in response to Alan's response to my original review. He stated - "Thank you for sharing your experience Harvey. We apologize for the time you had with us but we have done everything possible to work with you to get this fixed. Please feel free to come see us if you have any new questions or concerns." What a ridiculous response considering that they conned me into getting the car fixed with them by illegally charging me storage fee - then dangling a carrot of removing the storage fee if I forked out $8K to get the car "fixed" with them. But the extortion wasn't enough. They destroyed the electrical system and now my MFD and automatic window no longer works. They didn't even bother to check to see if those items worked before releasing it to me. I found it myself as I was about to drive off the lot. In short, they were trying to hide the fact that they destroyed electrical system. As an FYI, I did take the car to the dealer and AAA to get their opinion on how electrical system could've been destroyed. And my suspicions was verified. It could've happened if an incompetent mechanic replaced the hybrid system. And that's exactly what happened. So they in no way made any effort to work with me on anything. Their only goal was to extort money from me and they succeeded. These people are con artists and they're good at it. Unfortunately, BAR has no enforcement power. It is up to me to take them to court and I was advised that I can use BAR report that's on file against GIC as evidence - which I can obtain through a subpoena. I've held off on taking this course of action since what I'm looking for is NOT money. It has never been about money. I simply want them to stop conning people and only way that can happen is if they close shop. Because I seriously doubt that they will change their ways. We do not need this kind of unethical business in our neighborhood. It's giving other honest auto shops (which there are plenty of) a bad name. So I decided that suing them for money will serve no purpose. I also thought about reporting them to BBB, but again, same issue. BBB has no enforcement power. So I find it incredibly insulting that Alan would respond to this review by saying that I should come "see" them with any new questions or concerns. To put that in perspective, that's like taking my kid to a Doctor, and the Doctor kills my child because of negligence. Then the Doctor sends me an email asking me to come back to him/her for any other concerns. That's ridiculous. I haven't yet, but I will start to spread my experience to my next door neighbors and people around town. Hopefully, the word of mouth will shut them down. But that will take time. In short, don't take your car to this place.

The oil change price is ok but car parts replacement and work is way more expensive compared to other places by $200 on average. Good people but expensive prices in comparison.

I came in to get my brakes checked since my car was showing warning on the dash. Thought I would need to replace the brakes pads but on inspection they turned out to be fine. I appreciate that they told me and didn't charge me for unnecessary work. Overall had a good experience. They took the time to explain everything to me and that everything they did was transparent and honest

I've been here a few times for oil changes. Mainly from the flyer they send in the mail. The prices and upsells have gotten significantly higher. I've met the owners who seem like nice people but the hard selling staff I met today made me want to take my business elsewhere. The cost to change brakes is significantly higher than other shops around, same as the dealer. The salesman told me that they have parts that are replaceable anywhere in the nation so that's the "value." When asked where I could have that warranty honored they said tons across the nation without saying which. I fail to believe that their warranty is better than the dealer if they can't even specify which shops besides their own would honor the warranty.
