Eric was great to work with and gave me a quick turn around. Punched my harley TC88 jugs out to 98" and milled down some 10cc dome Carillo pistons to 4cc to keep my requested static CR at 10:1 and file fit rings. Worked over my heads with larger intake valves, guides, seals and supplied top end gasket kit. This is a top notch shop and will be using again.

Eric was very attentive and always willing to answer all my questions through out my entire motor build froms start to finish.Never gave me a NO for an answer. Great machinist and person to do business with.Will keep using him on all future projects from now on!

Dropped off 2 PWC cylinders on JULY 20TH to be blasted, bored, honed, and decked. Was given an estimate that they would work on them AUG 11TH and should have them done mid to late Aug. Called them on AUG 23RD and was told they blasted them and should be a few more weeks. Ok, no big deal I understand delays happen. Called again multiple times in mid/late Sept and got the same response. I'm starting to get a little frustrated at this point. Called again beginning of October and the same thing "the tech is measuring them and we should know in the next few days what pistons you need, I will call you once I know more". By now boating season is wrapping up. Finally said screw it and drove to the shop and picked them up OCT 24TH. During the span of 3 months, I never received 1 call about the status of the work, delays, or any info. Clearly my business is not important to them so I decided to take it elsewhere. I've been more than patient and understanding about the delays, but at a certain point I'm tired of being lied to. If you're a racer or have a trip or some sort of hard deadline you need a project finished by, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Also, in regards to the media blasting that they did do, I was told the coolant passages would be cleaned out and cylinder looking like new. Still lots of paint and corrosion everywhere on the cylinders and coolant passages. Lack of attention to detail and care for the customer. Will never do business with them and do not recommend.

Been using AMS for over 20yrs, all my machine and engine work, from classic rods to old VWs, Quality and Customer Service is what keeps them so busy, Eric is a stand up guy and always there to help.. i definitely recommend this shop

Eric has taken great care of me for years. Always honest about time frames, saying up front it may be x amount of time before I can get to it. The quality of work has been nothing short of phenomenal. I had them rebuild a block and head and they did a great job. Also had some other things done here and there. I needed a balance shaft delete and some freeze plugs installed in certain spots and Eric and his boys have done an outstanding job every time. There was even one time, say 3 pm on thursday, I needed 2 wheel bearings pressed into the hubs. I dropped them off at 4, and he called me at 6:30 to pick them up. The shop closes at 5, so that just spoke volumes to me. The only criticism I have is they can be expensive, so bring your wallet.

Eric built a vw1600 engine from the ground up to my specifications using some parts I supplied him. When I had trouble mounting the engine, Eric confirmed my diagnosis, and helped me solve the problem and suggested more fixes for potential trouble. Positively outrageous service.
