I went to cash a check. The teller was nice and told me that she couldn't deposit the check into my savings because my husbands name was not on the account. So, I went home and sent my husband to fill out the paperwork to be be on the account. The lady at the customer support desk/office told my husband she couldn't help him until next week. There were no other customers, it is Thursday, but she can't help until next week? What does she do?

A teller at this branch let someone come here and use only my ID to steal thousands of dollars from my account.

Tired of Wells Fargo. You get charged overdraft fees CONSTANTLY because of their rigged system. They pick and choice when to withdraw a transaction, sometimes it is immediately, sometimes 2 days, I've even had a transaction withdrawn over a WEEK later. So your balance can say a certain amount, and then as soon as they know that they can hit you with an overdraft fee, they'll draw out your previous transactions. I have had to tiptoe around this banking system, and not rely on the mobile banking app to tell me my true balance. I was doing good for a while tracking my own spending instead of relying on their system. But the last straw happened just recently. I knew that I had a large payment coming up, so the day before I transferred enough money so that I wouldn't go negative from one account to the one that the transaction would come out of. Mind you, transfers have ALWAYS been instant. But of course this time, they mark my transfer as pending, yet pull the large transaction right away. Of course this causes my account to go negative and bam hit with an instant $35 over draft fee. I am sick of this company, I will be closing my accounts and moving banks. But of course they make that difficult as well, as I have called 4 times today with no answer and coming into the bank, there is no one available to help me until tomorrow. With this being my only day off, it is very frustrating. I asked if I could close accounts online and was told no. I am sick of Wells Fargo, and should have paid more attention to the bad press, negative reviews and previous lawsuits against them before choosing to bank with them.

The people working there are nice but the bank is crooked! You get charged $30 for everything whether it's your fault or not, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten an overdraft charge on something I told them we were no longer paying that they will not refund, they will charge you to ahead of time put a stop payment on something even when the other company has agreed to it (so they are getting $30 to push a pause button) I got charged $30 TWICE for return item fee on a check because someone else tried cashing it before I told them to, and the banks response was "their bank is responsible so you'll have to call them" which of course their bank said only our bank could issue the refund (guess who didn't get one of those return item fees fixed?) we just had a baby and $75 in fees (state tax was added) is unacceptable! we are leaving, we've absolutely had it with the ridiculous charges, we get it if we screw up and get charged cuz we were overspending but it should be fixed when it's not your fault! One more thing I'm PO about, my husband lost his card and we called them immediately (we knew he had just lost it cuz we used it at D&B and then got in the car and about 15 minutes later went to buy something and it was gone), they said they blocked the card....a few hours later we get charged over $75 from a bar and the overdraft fees from his card! Had they done their job the guy who stole the card could have been arrested and we wouldn't have had to wait to get our money back, on top of that since then for some reason MY card (not his MINE) gets randomly blocked while I'm out buying groceries or what have you, I guess it's some security measure since we had our card stolen but 1) it's not his card being messed with and 2) so places I frequently buy from look suspicious to y'all but a bar charge (neither of us drink) for the very first time in a place we've never been doesn't? On top of that I've been very busy here this time and can't get to the bank, my husband who is the main person on the account apparently can't go down and reactivate the card for me moving to RBFCU, trust us don't do business with WF

So, the teller at the drive-thru was very friendly; however, she was way too chatty for how many cars were waiting. The best part is, she wasn't going in order of who got there first...

I have mixed feelings about this bank. What with all the negative press in recent years (I didn't look too much into that, personally) but I did hear a good deal about it. I was a Wells Fargo member for over a decade. I say was because I recently closed my checking account here. I've been going through some hard times and needed to open a new account for numerous financial and sanity reasons, but Wells Fargo tried their hardest to keep me from closing my account. It took 2-3 trips into a branch, on top of calling customer service, and then the 1 800 number to finally get it done. Granted, my account was in the negative at the time I was trying to close it, but you figure over a decade of loyalty ought to count for something too. I don't know, I just feel like there are better options out there. I recently switched to an online bank where I get paid two days earlier, and also USAA, which so far has been pretty great.
