Booked the Juniper Room through AirBnb. Kate was a wonderful host. Very thoughtful amenities for the pet friendly room. Was able to get a great nights rest.Rooms: Clean and very comfortable bed. Linens and towels were soft.Nearby activities: Park, swimming, tubing or kayaking in Concho river.Safety: Loved the keyless entry with self check-in.Walkability: Able to walk to parks and nearby restaurants.Noteworthy details: Thoughtful supplies for traveling with dogs.

Would highly recommend..rooms are nice & clean..place looks really nice!!Parking is spacious enough if you're hauling a trailer... it's a walk away from the river and the small businesses...Winery, store, BBQ & venue are just a 5 minute drive..Beautiful & Pieceful place to visit..definitely going back next chance I get..Safety: You get the small town sense of security.. everyone knows each other and helps one another..Walkability: Everything is near by..if you like to go for walks it's a perfect placeFood & drinks: Cold beer & Hot Pizza n more Are near byNoteworthy details: In the beginning of the cool season mornings..I recommend to cook breakfast outside on a skillet underneath the porch..or bbq any time

Lovely, quiet, comfortable. Super rooms! Can’t say enough good about this place. Close to river! Very relaxing and the management is absolutely the best folks, warm, welcoming, make you feel right at home! Definitely going back!

My husband and I had a marvelous stay with George & Rita at the Shade Tree Lodge on April 26, 2019. The place is beautiful! It was a pleasure to get to know George & Rita and visit with them beside the river that evening. We even saw a beaver! It swam right to us and we watched it for several minutes. The room was clean and comfortable, very neatly decorated. The place is gorgeous. My husband and I are birders and we spent the morning sitting on our porch outside our room adding several species to our life list. We highly recommend this place. Very peaceful. Wonderful hosts.

Great little spot to get away from it all. The rooms are super awesome in that each has its own theme. Whether it's a tiki vibe, colonial beauty, or hunting cabin you'll find it. It's also not along the highway so there's no traffic to disturb y'all.

Fun, fun, fun. The Boathouse held the 13 of us very comfortably. We had a very good size kitchen, and lots of seating. Right on the Concho River. Our hosts, Rita and George were great, easy and laid back.We will be back.
